First time training this year.
I was standing between Dai the Scrapman and Roidhead#1, when I was told we were in groups of 3 doing takedown practice. Someone actually laughed and shouted "you've drawn the short straw there".
Cue much pain, including a possible broken toe.
And on Friday I'll be back for more...

Sandwich for me. Roast beef, salad, tomatoes. I may add some horseradish.
Trying to will myself to actually do some job hunting, 14 months of on and off job hunting has been a weird combination of soul crushing, self discovery, and hardening of skin. Over 50 sucks for job hunting, especially now it seems that the only way to get a job is to essentially build something with AI (ie make your own company and solve a problem).

i just had the roast and tbh i wish i didnt today, i am not sat my desk, my stomach feels like its going to implode and i feel really really sick, i necked a whole bottle of water at the same time and i had just had to go sit down somewhere

Yeah, not been able to sleep due to bloating etc.. with the cold weather, and heating overnight and forgetting to drink water one day (I don't get the normal hunger or thirsty clues, so have to manually manage that).. that was a mistake. Better now but I've still got a some hours of sleep deprivation as a result which is why there's low energy levels. Funnily enough we don't eat much and have come to dread the expectation by the in-laws to over indulge at xmas and new years. Didn't drink that much either. Getting old lol.

Told my wife we need to try and reduce spending as been buying a lot of stuff for the house, and then had the kids over at Christmas which added up. I've managed a week before telling her i've booked a flight back to the UK for my mates 40th
1st day back at work......
After 2 mins I realised today was gonna suck.(Even more than I knew it was gonna suck lol)
Loads sick, loads of temps, I can't do any real work till my you've been abroad "poop" tests are back to make sure I'm not riddled with salmonella or what not....

This is gonna sound racist, probably cos it is, but I hate that a lot of people don't speak Swedish (or English) maybe i should learn Arabic, its a common language to most tbh. Maybe they speak Russian

Whilst on my online banking, out of curiosity checked what rates were offered for Personal Loans. New Loans were offered at 6.2% versus the 6.9% I took out an existing loan at.
Therefore I've borrowed an additional £10, dropped the term by 1 month, reducing my monthly payments by about £2/month but crucially saving £159.13 in Interest.

BA cancelled my flight last night. Went to the app, offered to rebook or refund. I chose refund, it's not as if I am in a hurry to go to Belgium. But upon clicking the accept the refund offer the page crashed and never got a confirmation email. That was at like 7pm and their phone lines was overwhelmed.
Called again this morning and was told they got the tick for me accepting cancellation of the flight but not the hotel (was 1 package). So that is sorted. Also, side note, a british accent lady on the phone, rather than an overseas call centre.

Yeah, T5.
No harm done, getting a full refund, and even the car parking refund has been processed too, I can see that amount pending on my credit card already.
I can do the same trip again, same hotel for the same money on a different day.

Fair enough, good that you got all the refunds sorted. Must have been something up to cancel flight from T5
Iv flown quite a bit with BA through T2, T3 and T5, all have been reliable over the last couple of years. was it weather related?

I think so, the page doesn’t say (I have a screenshot). There were flights cancellation on the Belgium side too a couple days ago (it was on the news) so it could be that side cancelling rather than a LHR issue.

Possibly weather,
I have collegues over in our Amsterdam office and they say the snow over there is crazy at the moment , i think they have snow in france too so belgium might be similar

Yeah, the weather over a whole central belt of Europe is crazy right now. We're a bit North of it all, but we've got 50mph winds blowing the snow that's fallen over the last week and some into deep drifts along our road.
