Same, last 4Tb SSD I bought was a Transcend one 3 years ago for £165Yeah seems SSD prices are normalising a bit. Still a bit pricey but no longer in the phase where I’m praying nightly none of my 4Tb drives fail![]()

Only way is up lmaoI really fell I missed the boat on SSD's and wish I had bought some storage space back when they were cheaper. Sigh. My fear is that in the current climate, they'll never return downwards.
Reminds me of when they first came out. My 64Gb SSD was £120 over 15 years ago.I really fell I missed the boat on SSD's and wish I had bought some storage space back when they were cheaper. Sigh. My fear is that in the current climate, they'll never return downwards.

I saw a TY video by Louis Rossmann having to sue Samsung. In the end they got a refund for the full amount to be able to get a replacement drive.
This was when Samsung was telling him they had no replacement drives to send out but was selling them on the Samsung store on Amazon for stupid amounts of money

It sure looks like it!! I picked a bad time to come back from a laptop£200 for a 4TB was decent before Xmas then?
Jesus wept I dodged a bullet haha, almost orderd 2 as well![]()

that isn't bad nowadaysRecently I accepted to pay £289 for a 4TB Sandisk Ultra, at least it has a five years warranty, which works out at just over £100 that I paid last year. Not great, not terrible.

I'm very salty lol.You can guess I'm still a little salty regarding the normalising of prices, whether it is the floods in Thailand, Covid, Mining or AI![]()
