BMW and M Power Owners

Back this morning from my trip to the Nurburgring for the DTM Weekend and a lap around the Nordschleife.

Ypres, Spa Francorchamps, the Ring and Donuts all feature :p

Be aware, this post will be literally copied/pasted into the Show us your motor's thread :D

If they're Xenon or LED then they don't need adjusting at all, just don't use them in automatic mode (which also disables the adaptive element). They have a flat beam pattern already.

I think you can adjust the headlights in iDrive, so you don't need those things stuck to them. :p
Nothing through iDrive, i checked before I left :)

Indeed you can. Wow, what a European driver amateur :D

UNless I've missed it

Can't lie, the lighting adjustment was very much a late thought, and didn't have time to do enough research as I'd like. The leaflet I got for fitting however did show over 150 models of cars with each different lighting type and my mode and type were definitely on there, titled LED, so..

Anywho, it made me feel better :p

I've got a budget of about £14,000 and have been looking at 3 and 5 series tourings. Is £14k too low a budget for these cars? I'd like something as new as possible but it seems a bit bottom of the barrel.

How much would that 116i have been new? Maybe the person who bought it originally didn't want a fast car, but I bet it cost as much as a golf gti.

base spec was like £15k RRP(doesn't mean anyone paid that) new. Not golf gti money for sure ;)

Honestly why is nothing ever straightforward for me and cars?! I can't find anyone (decent) to take this damn paint job on!

The entire set of speakers on the left hand side of my E39 are not working. Sometimes they seems to crackle a little but then go off again.

Any ideas on where to start looking for problems? I've checked all the connectors that are easily accessible (in the boot to the CD changer and behind the headunit). Is it time to check the speakers themselves?

Swap the left speakers affected with the right ones. If you find the now "right" speakers doing the same thing, then the speakers are shot, otherwise it's an amp or wiring break somewhere.
