The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

Anybody in Essex or Hertfordshire who wants to do some Cross Fire testings with Vega 56? We can drink a beer/coffee, tweak and run benchmarks.
Edit: or are there LAN/ hardware parties around?

Did any of you see the redgamingtech video where he done some tweaks to voltage and core and men clocks and it comes very close to a GTX 1080 nevermind beating a 1070?

Looks good. How does the cooler perform with those settings?

It performs really well. I have a 5.1 speaker setup and while gaming I can't really hear the fan but during quiet scenes I can hear a low audible fan noise which is perfectly acceptable and really good for a blower.

I have added the GPU stats which show the fan speed peaking around 2400rpm~

Those settings for me seem to be a sweet spot for a good balance of performance, thermals, noise and power consumption.

Nice, im looking forward to fiddling with my v56 when i get time tomorrow. Got conf its delivered to shop for collection so hopefully get collected tonight when home late. Will up some pics when installed. Black and sed setup should look real nice with my other black and red bits.

Does the radeon name glow red or s that just on the ltd edition v64s?

easy enough to do to be fair, my timespy scorers are on par with a 1080, almost stock with an undervolt. flashing a 64 bios will achieve this pretty easy.

How did AMD miss this? Surely they could have done this stock so they would be less of a laughing stock...

As far as I'm aware he didn't flash the bios though.

What voltages and clocks are those running the Vega 64 bios using? Put the V64 bios on my 56 this morning. Stock setting on 64 bios gave me the same Timespy score as V56 bios with 1622mhz @ 1050mV, HBM at 925mhz and +50% power limit

Just out of curiosity have you tried the same oc with stock voltsin timespy?

Had a go with undervolting and then OC'ing the memory, unbelievable improvement.

Before tweaking: 1080p firestrike on R5 1600 OC'ed 3.8 @ 1.25v, Stock Vega 56 came in at 15,956

First test: UV @ 1100mV, OC memory @ 900mhz, max power limit 50%+, Fan set to 2800rpm max (too loud imo) (max temps 76c)

Second test: UV @ 1000mV, OC memory @ 920mhz, max power limit 50%+, Fan set to 2400rpm max (better) (max temps 71c)

All stock no tweaking results.

Nice RADEON red letting through my S340 Elite matt Red/Black case.

Its late and been up since 5:15am. Will play more tomorrow and take some photos.

Haven't had that much time to test but clocks at 1662/950 mv1080 stock bios gives me a timespy score of 6920 gpu score is 7212 cpu is 5629. Temps max at 71 degrees on the core and hbm with blower running at 3200rpm.

Nice score! Weird how I get the same at 1100mhz on hbm with everything else the same. Could an older cpu affect the graphics score?
