Have absolutely no idea what
that bit was supposed to mean....
Maybe next time though, you should read through the thread and know what your own quote was a reply to. Topic of discussion was
from post 77. That was the reason for my quote.
Did you just feel like going all keyboard warrior on post 86, or was it your intention to jump in and change the subject?
Perhaps you should take your advice, since I was replying to post number 86, not post number 77, and I was neither going all keyboard warrior nor changing the subject. You, however, were doing both.
I thought I was quite clear about the bit you're referring to, but I'll explain further:
I wrote something.
You wrote something completely different and then implied that what you'd written didn't make any sense (which it didn't). You also implied that I'd written it, since you quoted my post and presented your post as a reply to it. But I hadn't written it. You had written it. I had written something different.
Is that clear enough?
I'll also explain some more, since it seems to be necessary. I'll explain with a general case first and then go on to this specific case.
Person A puts forward hypothesis X.
Person B states that hypothesis X is incorrect because of hypothesis Y.
Person C states that hypothesis Y is false and provides evidence showing that it is false.
Note that this does not mean than person C is stating that hypothesis X must be true.
For this specific case, that last part is even more obvious than usual. Please explain why you thought that when I wrote that food poisoning can occur between 1 hour and 50 days after eating whatever caused the food poisoning I was saying that food poisoning "just had to be"(*) caused by what the person ate immediately before showing symptoms of food poisoning. I'm particularly interested in why you thought that those two completely different things mean the same thing while also thinking that doesn't make sense.
(*)You edited your post afterwards, but that was your wording that I replied to - "just had to be" - as shown by the quoted text in my post.
