There is 1 2700 at position 23 and it's on a laptop.

The reality is @Minstadave the 2700x has always out performed the 2700 in clockspeed, but even more importantly in ramspeed as well.

Not exactly making your point if the one chip you’re comparing the 2700X with is a laptop 2700 at stock.

HWBot is more robust and the difference is less than 5% roughly.

With RAM speed if you’re buying several hundred pound high speed RAM kits you’re pretty likely just to opt for the 2700X, I’ve not seem any numbers to suggest the 2700X has a stronger memory controller. Can’t see anything on HWBot.

My new build is starting to look expensive:
  • 3900x: $499
  • 32GB 3600mhz DDR4: £240+
  • Motherboard (Asus Strix x570-E?) £200+
Still excited, my 3770k has served me well but is showing it's age now. Don't mind cost too much so long as no more than a 9900K with comparable gaming performance and more future proof thanks to extra cores and pcie 4.

Likewise. I have already bought the RAM, opted for 16GB for now though, can't justify the cost of 32GB in Trident Z :D

On a 2600k here, and I feel 12c should hold up as long as my 2600k has done.

Oh WOW - so Navi uses HDMI 2.0 and not 2.1

Massive missed opportunity for AMD to beat Nvidia in the TV game
Disappointing, is this confirmed? Would be nice to have a GPU with the potential to output 4K 90hz+/VRR to next gen TV's.

Was thinking I may keep my 1070 till next year anyhow, 3900x is enough spending for now.

Version 2.1
HDMI 2.1 was officially announced by the HDMI Forum on January 4, 2017, and was released on November 28, 2017. It adds support for higher resolutions and higher refresh rates, including 4K 120 Hz and 8K 120 Hz.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Version_2.1

If new Xbox can do 4K 120Hz then why wouldnt the PC Navi part not do the same.

But this is the Zen 2 thread, feel free to quote me into the Navi thread :p
