I know, i've seen it, its ##### pathetic, several mainstream reviewer editors have joined Ryan Shrout at Intel, i'll reserve judgement but i know who they are, its in Jim's latest video, PcPer however have been publishing shenanigans for years now and were deleted off my trusted reviewers list in about 2015.
Just on a side note have you noticed that about half of those applications wouldn't make any noticable difference if they were run on one of 8 Pack's rigs or a ###### potato?
Exactly,so are Intel saying people shouldn't bother buying any new CPU including their own,and just use their iPhone or something?? :p

Intel lost their goodwill with people that know a long time ago. All they have to sell is performance, once they are no longer top dog that loyalty, if there is any, will soon disappear. Eking out performance improvements had got them to where they are now, caught flat footed. AMD just need to maintain their momentum and ensure they make money whilst pushing the technology forward.

that 3900x geekbench, bench

Geekbench said:
},
"processor_frequency": {
"minimum": 4313,
"maximum": 4546,
"median": 4465,
"mean": 4455,
"stddev": 41.10455481019266,
"frequencies": [

does that suggest, (i know geekbench doesn't load a CPU like blender/prime/AIDA FPU etc.) all core, at no point during the tests, the clocks of any core dropped lower than 4.3?!

@8 Pack
Will these work on the x570 gigabyte extreme at their rated speed of 3600.
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/g.sk...hannel-kit-f4-3600c17q-64gtzkw-my-104-gs.html

His 4000 kit does speed wise (2x 8gb) , hoping 10 layers of PCB will help with 4 sticks and 16GB each a Dimm

Sure his 3600hz kit is cheaper

I did not try any gigabyte yet......... I tried all other vendors boards!!!

I actually tried that kit in ASRock Taichi ...working fine....

Of course also you need a decent IMC to run 3600/1800 in 1:1 MEM/IF speeds with 64gb...

@GIGA-Man gonna have to give the big man two boards, when not benching and actually bicep curl one in each hand with the weight of metal on them :D

Yeah I'm not even going to bother clicking on the link.

I might as well roll my face on the keyboard and then read that instead.

There isn't the need to click anything. :rolleyes:

Discuss :D

Is the 3900x stock?

There has been a lot of overclocked benches on geek bench.

Though the score does look stock I just need to make sure.

The single core score is rather low which is very interesting- we’ve seen much higher on a 4.3ghz 3600. So either the 3900x isn’t boosting to the clock speed amd claims or the 3900x just isn’t that good at single core loads

I wonder if Ryzen 3000 clocks work a bit now lie Navi does.

And the boost clock amd stated is just a short temporary window before it down clocks due to heat. It’s hard to otherwise understand why the 3900x is scoring lower insingle core than the 3600x

Yes, it's reported as stock.

What's impressive is how well the scores scale over all the cores.
I think Intel is done :)

It'll likely be hitting TDP and then throttling the core clocks back , in gaming it won't be doing this and still likely is the faster chip as the max frequency overall on those loads will or should be higher ( won't be the first or last to be proved wrong though )

Much excitement now. I've ran out to bits to fit to my new WC loop until I can fit the hardware, rads, pump/res, all the pipes I can fit are all in place. I'm hoping Zen2 under water will push a bit more performance out of it with boost clocks.

It's too much, the most expensive intel X299 board, the listed Asus ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME OMEGA (SOCKET 2066) INTEL X299 EATX MOTHERBOARD costs just 620 quid.
