Aorus/Gigabyte X570 - Buildzoid Ripple tests with AORUS & ASUS

@Mensy Aorus Pro has WiFi on one version as well as the Ultra at under £300. Unlike the Strix which is £340 and no WiFi !!
From his posts he wants an ITX build so the 'Gigabyte x570 i' would be a winner - but with yet to be announced price he may need a whisky and beer chaser attached.

Or, a flashed MSI b450 ITX...

depending on budget, might not be able to afford said whisky and beer chaser ;)

Lol i could buy a powerline but its doesnt get me as excited as a new system ha. The gigabyte x570i is on my list if its £220 and id probably prefer to drink bleach over whiskey lol

I can get a msi b450i and flashed from a local computer shop

After watching buildzoid's breakdown of the Elite it seems like a great board considering it's bottom of the stack. I did him review the Pro yet but didn't seem overly fond of the Ultra.
It will be interesting to see the price difference between the Elite and Pro, in theory both should be capable of running 16 core.

£209 max in theory for Elite , £265 max for Pro - now I think this if WiFi version as Ultra is In theory £300. At least they will undercut the Asus Strix !

Elite lacks the extra 4 pin for CPU, so would recommend the Pro non WiFi personally , it also features finned heatsink on the main bank of VRMs.
Then there's 6 layers on the PCB Vs the 4 of the elite . Both will have the same bios pretty much but Pro should handle ram better due to PCB

How does the X570 Xtreme workout in the PCIe lanes I looked at the manual but it only points to describes that the 1st slot runs x16, 2nd x8 and 3rd x4, If I use 2 gpu's will the first run at x8?

Don't forget these are PCIe 4.0 , so even at x8 that's the equivalent to x16 PCIe 3.0 speed :)

But yeah, CPU 16 lanes would be split 8 and 8

Yeah he more or or less said skip the Ultra and the Strix as they're identical to the lower versions in terms of VRM.

Personally I'm hoping the Taichi comes in at Strix/Ultra prices. It looks outclassed by the Master and Crosshair, but they're overkill for my needs (3700x on an H115i).

It's more, £340 odd I believe

Pro is more then fine enough, even Elite is pretty solid for 12 cores

So is there not an ATX pro with Wi-Fi?

Technically Pro is released with both WiFi and non WiFi like z390 was, just if it's in select resellers or countries etc .

@tamzzy @Plec ^^^^^ comments about Gigabyte bios...

Jeeez , finally they have sorted it by the comments above !
Looking forward to playing with it for 5 mins then never touching it again for 6 months pmsl
