If you go for the corsair ql120 fans, each triple pack contains a lighting node core, which can take 6 fans, so 2 packs, 12 fans. In my build the aio fans went into 1 core, the 6 other fans in the other. I then bought commander pro which I plugged the 6 power lines from fans...the power for the 3 fans on aio go into aio connector
Each fan has a power line and an rgb line....so 9 fans is 18 cables
If you went for the new lian li uni fans, either the Al or sl, the fans can be daisy chained. This mean the 3 fans can be linked together and the 3 fans run off 2 cables, 1 for power, 1 for rgb. So 9 fans becomes 6 cables instead of 18. In each triple pack you get a control box too so you would be able to control or your fans rgb off it, and power, though aio power should be controlled separately. Not sure if that make sense, but the vid of the fans from provoked prawn, he goes through how to set them up.
The lian li st fans will be like the corsair, each fan 2 cables.if you don't have a control box and need to plug fans directly to mobo you'll run out of connections, hence the splitters, where 2/3 fans can be connected together and controlled as 1 fan. It's not ideal as then the fans cant be individually controlled
Am sure if ocuk are building PC for you, they'll get the relevant bits you need to make all fans work etc.. I wouldn't discount the new build they put up, the sabre..as it's a new PC build, it has a discount..price will creep up after a certain time
