This is brilliant. What are the specs that are being cooled? Why the tinfoil? Is it quiet? Why switch from lovely blue coolant (antifreeze?) to pee? So many questions!

Metallic tape was often used to attach fans to radiators if the radiator was non-standard which many weren't. The image below is connecting a 120mm fan via a tin shroud to a Vauxhall heatercore. Metal tape to hold the three things together.



This also features a T-piece reservoir/filling tube, an Eheim 1250 pond pump and the grand-daddy of all modern water blocks, an original Cathar Little River Whitewater.

Cool - it's amazing how much water cooling has changed from stripping heatercores out of cars and plugging them into pet supplies - all stringed together with tape.

Today it's just plug and play with AIOs. I kinda miss the tinkering and function over form of the old days.

Nah not distracting in the slightest. When I'm sitting at desk, I dont see the PC unless I actually look up. The photo actually makes it look very close to my monitor. Plus I can toggle the lights off or adjust brightness as everything is on the 1 controller.

I like that you've taken the decision to put the radiator inlets on the "wrong" side so you can put more tubing in.

Yup, that was intentional, I mocked it up a few ways, and liked having the additional lengths of tube top and bottom, I think it balances out nicely.

After tearing the system down on Wednesday, putting in cleaner fittings so the tubes are perfectly level and the OLED meter came in from China as well as going with a Tron Legacy colour theme. Still waiting on the Aquacomputer High Flow Next 2 meter for water quality readings.
