I bought an E30 3 Series about 10 months ago and I going to sell it this autumn. Main reason being due to high insurance it HAS to be my daily and it's not fair on an old car like that. It felt very fast at first but it's very slow now I'm used to it :p

There's a few floating about in the Netherlands for the £10-15k mark right now. Of course that doesn't take into account import cost, getting it UK registered ect ect.. maybe one day :o

Another good shout is Mont Ventoux. The drive up it would be great in an M3. It gets a bit tourist-y in the afternoon so go early. Also that general area around Carpentras is very pretty - if you want some wine directly from the source there's plenty of vineyards about too and a market in...

I do 15 miles each way every day in a 25 year old car. You'll be fine :p

I also use Cotswold BMW for parts on my old 3 series! Would recommend.
