Horrible Accident

For the people debating about opening the doors underwater, etc. If you have time, just open your window, so that:

a) You can try and unclip yourself and swim out.
b) Make it easier for a rescue attempt if needed.
 
Well done, big pad on the back !

You can't open the door until the water is equalised, best way is to slide the window down and climb out.

tbh there was no time to do pictures if u ask me, and it would be quite rude to do that. but i can post the brick sign of the village that the car went trough, when i will go trough that area again.

i'll post about the what happened with the women and the kid when i will get more info.

tbh its last thing on my mind now. i just want forget all of it hopefully some vodka and beer will help to do it.

Not a democracy? Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.

What was the village called? I'll keep my eye out for news reports later.
 
Amazing, I hope I would do the same if I was ever faced, some people would freeze some just jump straight in without thinking, true hero.

Using a test weight of 350 lbs (equivalent to pressure differential from just two feet of immersion), the pressure of the window glass against the frame is so great that no amount of effort can move the gear. It is more likely that the window handle will be broken.

Though more powerful, power windows still cannot overcome the pressure differential.

I think 99% of people would **** one if their car ended up in a freezing cold lake upside down, what you should do would go right out of the window and panic would set in.

Definately. But after reading this i'm seriously considering getting one of those emergency glass hammers which have a seat belt cutter incorporated in them as well.

Was thinkin about it the other day as well, when i was reading about those coppers stuck in the car burning to death because the glass was the security film type. I think if i was there, the worst thing would be feeling helpless to those stuck in the car.
