*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I don't think I'm missing something here, but I'd appreciate some advice anyway.

On my Hero I could choose which of my Groups in my Google Contacts I wanted to sync. Being somewhat unimaginative, I'd created one called Android and that contained all the people I wanted 'on' my phone.

For the life of me I can't see a way to do this on the Desire. I used to be able to go into People > Groups > Menu > Sync Groups.

Now all I get is 'Add Group' or 'Delete Groups'. Eh?

If you select HTC People, the 2nd tab is where you can choose groups and sync etc.

Sorry, I should have clarified; I'm already in People, but the second tab doesn't give me the option to choose which groups to Sync. All I can do is add or delete them.

On my Hero I could pick which of the groups I wanted the phone to sync instead of having everyone appear.
 
It's been a while since I used a Sense ROM for this but you should be able to press Menu and go from there but will confirm this afternoon when I get home and can fire up my old man's Desire running Modaco!
 
Just rooted my desire now (for a laugh more than anything). Its not running DeFrost 4.6. What exactly does this give me that the original ROM doesnt?

What cool things can i do with this etc etc. I wouldnt mind being able to update the theme too. Does anyone know how to do this? I found something called OpenDesire but this appears to be another ROM?

I was in Wales this weekend and my friend had an iPhone 3G and I have the HTC Desire (running Open Desire)... her photos turned out to be a lot better than mine.

My photos have never really been that good, and I am wondering whether going back to a Sense UI ROM will produce better photos?

Those are at ISO1200, I quite like the fine grain of that ISO on this ROM, it also means smoother motion and faster shutter speeds so less image blurring in low light :)

Settings I use, Saturation up one notch, 4MP (wide) resolution setting.
 
Guys im getting a desire off mobile uk now
I have a orange contract atm but want to keep my number
Do i tell mobiles uk the number or shall i leave the number porting until i get the phone and cancel the current contract / put on pay and go
 
I also noticed since putting the latest version of LD on there is no 720p stutter like other sense roms ive tried, for now Im happy i havent even bothered to put launcherpro plus on :) just waiting on a working camera for the new sense desire hd roms to come out :)
