Angry birds chuggs like mad at times, The phone is not really powerfull enough to run it properly but for £99 you cant moan.

right have flashed it and it all works ok, i use o2payg so i unlocked it yesterday before i flashed it but i cant seem to send any mms messages. tried getting the o2 setting off the net but it still doesnt work. any ideas?

Argh! Can't root this to save my life! Downloaded all the right files and drivers, put the command in on CMD (fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img) but it just hangs forever on < waiting for device >.

You did install the USB drivers?

Yep, all installed for Windows XP. Installed them when I plugged the phone in while it was switched on and while switched off, still just hangs.

Driving me mad this is, thought it would be loads easier than this.

Humm, my only other suggestion is try the things they suggested in your thread on modaco.

Will try your driver Moog, if that fails i'll have a go at the method where you install it off the phone itself.

You deffinately have Fastboot & clockwork 2.5.0.9 in the same place..?

Am i missing something, but what key is supposed to wake the screen so you can unlock it ?
Sometimes randomly one of the bottom row works, other times have to use the power.

Yeah, unzipped them both into c:\. So i've got Document And Settings etc. there and the unzipped files.

Tried your driver Moog, turns out it's exactly the same driver I used before xD

Doing this while in CMD.

cd c:\fastboot - then hit Enter which gets me into Fastboot.

Then from there I type in 'fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img' and hit enter.

Just gives me < waiting for device >

press the power button to sleep/wake, hold for other options.

This is starting to do my head in, no idea what i'm doing wrong and why it's not working!

I want to get rid of all this Orange crap they put onto the phone and I can't, is there an easier way of doing it through software or something?

With so many issues trying to get the drivers installed and working, it leads me to 1 conclusion..... windows 7 x64, right?

Took 10 mins for me, and I had no previous experience with Android.

Just follow the steps, it's so easy.

I don't see how anyone can get it wrong unless they're randomly skipping out steps or not reading properly.

He is on XP, im on Win 7 x64 and had no issues

Windows XP x64 Bit version.

Followed the steps and it just gets stuck when i'm about to flash it with < waiting for device > and that's it.

XP x64? In that case there is most probably your issue.
