The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

having problems with this phone, put superboot on it and things had been going wrong. whilst loading the android character goes a blue colour and everything has a blue tint to it. If the screen goes off I can;t get it back on again. Help!!

I did the same thing, its easy to fix though

Anyone with a TFT Phone should NOT be using Superboot - It is OLE only and will be giving user a BLUEish Tint after installation.

To Revert back to a Correct ROM Choose a TFT supported ROM from the variety of ROMS here and Follow these instructions

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/

First you will FLASH CLockwork to your RECOVERY Partition

Then you will install a ROM (this rewrites the boot and the main ROM)

Double check that you have chosen a TFT compatible ROM.

I think the main thread needs a LARGE warning about TFT devices and Superboot.

Clockwork http://android.modaco.com/content/z...led-tft-30-nov-2-5-1-3-clockworkmod-recovery/

And this is the rom i am currently using, based on 2.2 Froyo http://android.modaco.com/content/z...ad-online-kitchen-heavily-fixed-chinese-leak/

after playing about with it for abit i dont think i will bother updating the OS, it seems alittle to complicated for me and the standard Android 2.1 Eclair seems fine for what i do. just one quick question, you had to put £10 top up on it so ive got that to use and i thought id surf the net abit on it but i cant get any internet on it via the sim card ive used my home wifi and it loggs on to the net fine ive noticed theres no 3G or HSPA icons on the screen, do you have to phone orange to get internet access or something. i remember my o2 sim just worked straight away

It's so easy to do!!!

There is literally nothing you can do wrong!

Phone is just a completely different beast with a custom rom on it.

Once you've done it its quite easy. Took me ages to do mine the first time, but now I have clockworkmod its easy to install new things. I did my dads new phone last night and the only thing that took me time was getting the USB drivers to work. Literally took me about five minutes to root, install clockwork and then the ROM.

He's really happy with it now. I'm really chuffed he got the OLED one too. I kept telling him to get one mainly on how good the screen was. Then they switched to the TFT before he got it and I thought he'd missed out.

could you list what i need to download plz, i will give it ago sometime today i think. then i will see if i can get this orange simcard sorted out to pick up 3g and the internet

Yes in 2.2 install the app as normal, Then go to Task manager and find the app you will have an option saying transfer to SD card...

Hi Moogleys, have you noticed anything different with installing thing to the SD card over the phone etc?
