***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

I do like WebOS but I'm intruiged to try HC. Never tried it on a device which makes it look good, really hope it looks good on the TP. I've tried a cheap Acer one (or Asus), the Vega and the Xoom and it's all a bit choppy.

Honeycomb won't be ported to the Touchpad.

Got to say I'm not been that impressed with Android - I've had 3 different Android devices now and all have mixed results with running various Apps i.e. I have several Apps that will run on one device, but not another, despite being onm similar builds, which is bloody annoying!

Although there's nowhere near as many Apps on webOS, at elast every single one works, which is reassuring when you buy them.

I got to say that after a lot of playing, I now prefer webOS to Android, and it's a toss off with iOS for my favourite - both have several pros and cons, but I've been very pleasantly surprised by how good webOS is.

bc hasn't had a proper open source release i think? More chance of ice cream sandwich

This is now actually starting to sound quite encouraging! :)

Hopefully it will continue to get even better, and continue to improve.

Well it should as sound was the last major device they needed to get to work, now the less important things like, microphone, camera, and compass.

Is it me or are the probs on the bbc website sorted? i am now able to watch video and view the site without the constant refreshing?

I had disabled flash, and re-enabled it and everything seems ok. All i have done is tweaked the TP according to the precentral recommended tweaks

I never had the issues in the first place, so maybe it was something to do with internet speed and the TP
