I saw someone mention open office. I couldn't find it for WebOS or do you just use the java version?

Any other essential apps?

I have bought a couple of apps, Angry Birds Rio and Colouring Book for my daughter. They are both very good for the money.

People rave about Kalemsoft as a media viewer.

I say Spaz HD, Interface Lift HD and the Facebook app are also must haves.

Any idea where to get open office and skype from? Can't find them in the app store.

Not sure Open Office and Skype have been released yet. WebOS comes with Quickoffice, although I haven't used it yet, but says it has Office compatibility.

i can tell you that the plugs the TP comes with are useless if you want to go to america. Although they have flat pins here, they are now vertical (have been for a while) not angled. so, the plugs that will work are the uk one and the european one. I think the flat angled pins is Aus?

where can you get Kindle Beta?

Skype is not necessary, you can use Synergy. Open Office comes with it too.

Also, where do I put mp3s/videos on the touchpad and is it possible to create folders in the menus.

I put a few mp3s on it and could only find them through internalz.

I just created a couple of folders (e.g. mp3 and Movies) and put them in there, when the device was connected as USB storage.

Music app picked up the mp3s automatically.

The WebOS video playback codec(s) are very limited. You really need to spring for KalemSoft, which has it's own file browser.

No, your meant to go through the app to find data. The built in apps look like they only show data they understand, for movies mp4.

Juat ran thru the tutorial to turn off all the logging and everythign but skipped the overclock for the moment. Setup my Box accoutn and it reads...

Account type: Personal
Storage (used/total): 0B / 50.0GB 0% used
Bandwidth used: 0B of 10.0GB
Max file size: 100 MB — Upload files up to 2GB, view upgrade options
Guests enabled: no
Cancellation: Delete your account (This action is permanent)

Cant even upload TV eps to it with a 100mb limit

With the Kindle app installed and an accoutn created can I use ebooks I have gotten elsewhere or only thru the kindle store?

EDIT: Just purchased, installed, registered and setup kalem media player.

VERY nice, will test it at work tomorrow xD

Not sure if I'm missing something but can't you use the built-in Skype client in Phone and Video calls?
