Supplements the debate/discussion thread

This appears to be a nice summary;

this refers to the EU regualtion that came into force may last year outlawing pre workouts based on Geranium oil ( pretty much all US ones ) and anything herbal that is not a food herb , we (Boditronics Ltd) stopped making Tribulus and other non compliant product then and stopped production of Our pre workout , so all our current products are fully compliant . Most reputable UK brands complied with this but many smaller ones and US importers tried to go under the radar hence they are now being targetted we knew this would come . Products like Testofen are ok because its a food herb deriivitive , Amino acids are ok as they are present in protein"

The list.
For instance 1,3 dimethylamylamine, DMAA, Methylhexaneamine etc etc are all names they know for the same nutrient. They have done their research.

Sida Cordifolia
Milk Thistle
Coleus Forskolii
Carulluma
Evodia
Gugglesterones
Tribulus
Uva Ursi
Valerian
Hoodia
White Willow
Rauwolfia

Quite a few of those are already banned in the UK. GABA, Melatonin, Yohimbe for example.

For IndigoGorilla:

My diet to be as per Steedie, not currently on it completely yet (money / need to get paid / i'll blow up if I eat that much straight away :D)

6:30am - 70g oats, 30g whey, handful of flaked almonds, handful of blueberries, sliced banana, all in a bowl with water
Half grapefruit

9:00 – 100g diced chicken breast, 2x wholemeal pita bread, salad, drizzled with Good Oil (no more than a tbsp)

11:30 – 150g Mackerel, 250g sweet potato, chilli flakes

2:00 – 112g turkey, 70g rice with ½ cup of broccoli, 1 tbsp of Good Oil

4:00 – Jacket potato with tin of tuna, ½ cup of broccoli

6:00 – PWO Shake (30g whey/50g Dextrose)

Dinner

10:00 – 3 boiled eggs, ½ tbsp of peanut butter

The 'Dinner' is so vague purely because it varies every week and I eat what the lady eats :)

Does anyone know the best way to take flaxseed oil? I'm just taking it straight then washing it down with water. Wondering if it's better to mix it with milk or something?

Do you have any other supplements such as Whey or any other protein shakes?

I see flaxseed oil recommended quite a bit as a good addition to shakes so I assume it's a good way to consume it.

Is it similar to fish oils where it's best consumed with food as well?

Yeah it does say to consume with a meal. But I've heard some people say mixing it with shakes makes it less effective. But who knows, one person says one thing and someone else says another.

There's this thread with people who swear by it. Caps don't seem to contain enough and you would need to take 28 caps a day to equal the recommended two 15ml tablespoons.
