Supplements the debate/discussion thread

What is your diet out of interest? :) Just interested how people do everything

Breakfast - 75g oats, 25g almonds, 1 scoop whey, 1 tbsp PB + a banana couple of hours later before gym
Post workout - 1 scoop whey, 50g dextrose
Lunch - 225g turkey mince, 250g sweet potato, brocolli, 1.5 tbsp walnut oil
Dinner - 250g turkey steak/thigh, 250g sweet potato, brocolli, 1.5 tbsp walnut oil

Walnut oil not good oil because it's cheap and i still have omega 3 caps to get through so don't need it yet.
I don't actually measure most stuff out just go by eye so some stuff will likely be higher/lower a bit per day (not much though). I'll only start being totally strict when progress slows but i'm happy right now.

I stopped doing IF because i'm pretty confident it was what was making me feel sick and unable to eat in the mornings.

You and me both. I basically just throw something together after work and thats me done for the day (apart from a shake).

My diet is mainly pasta and chicken breast. I have two container fulls each day at work. If I'm lucky I'll have breaky in the morning.

Evening I like to have rice and beef.... But that's only if I have enough energy to make it.

Trying superpump max instead of white flood tonight. Lets see if I feel the beast mode unlock!

If that's your diet then I'd look at improving that before throwing things like creatine in the mix.

In that case would.you draw me up a decent diet?

I like chicken, pasta, beef, steak, eggs and usual veg

Taking supplements is more of a last resort for me. Is rather not use them... If anyone could put something together is be more than happy to test it out for a month.

A shopping list will do

Ahh cool thanks mate, gives me an idea how you would split it into bigger meals anyway. Currently got mine split in to about 6 :p Luckily work hasn't been overly busy so I can fit it in

250g of potato...Is that an average potato size or?

EDIT: I currently take six omega 3 tabs...Plus some good oil on a couple of foods...

How fid you find superpump then?

on another note was tempted to pick up some udo's oil, whats people's experience if any with this stuff.

Took 2 scoops, and it's done the trick. I'd say it's on par with white flood. I certainly didn't run out of focus/energy.

had been thinking of grabbing superpump as a pwo,as i'm not a fan of stims, which most other pwo are packed with.

Thinking of PWO carbs, I can't bring myself to believe dextrose is the answer. I mean, long term it can't be good having 60g+ of sugar 4 times a week.

This looks interesting - http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/vitargo_pure
Are PWO carbs really needed at all?

I just have a whey shake with some berries, followed by a big-ass meal within 20-60 mins. Dextrose and all those other empty carbs have no place in a healthy diet imho. If you really want some carbs at least treat yourself and have some cake, cookies, ice-cream, etc.

Any of you tried and had any luck with USP Labs Super Cissus RX?
Any luck in what way?

It's not cheap but it's very good at killing pain in sore tendons. Is that always a good thing?

It's also very good for training on a calorie defecit. Keeps the aches and pains away and I found it boosts strength and vascularity and also helps improve sleep quality.

For most people i woukd say that they aren't needed per-se, but coupled with an adequate diet can help to improve gains and recovery times.
If you have the spare cash and diet is a nonissue theni would suggest trying a small pwo supplement supply, one that gives a few servings i.e. gasparis size on mini (not suggesting this woukd be best supplenent just the only one i can think of that is smaller than a fulmonths supply) and see if you notice any differences. if diet isn't sorted then you will be wasting your money.

pre-workout supplements are stims. Why not try the superpump max mini to see how you get on?

Aye thats what i had been thinking, and by stims i mean large ounts and concentrated as sone pwo such as jack3d have higher levels of caffiene etc than superpump and people often experience crashes.

I'm simply after sonething that will give me some energy boost as i prefer to goto the gyn very early in the morning 6.30am, but not give too much of a booost wich from review superpump max seems to be one of the better for.
