*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I take my last comment back.

T-mobile called me and offered me the HTC One X on my current plan of £25 a month, unlimited data, renewal of 18 months contract. Handset cost? FREE

If they can match my current tariff with that I'm there. I'm after the 3Gb data, 300mins, 300 texts but also want the landline booster.

I'm on the same package and have just got off the phone with TM. Was told that they can't commit to price and will ring me to discuss on Thursday. It is possible to extend the old 3GB data contracts :D but the cost of the phone/line rental is unknown. I queried why other people appear to be quoting TM pricing and he was unable to answer.

That deal spoilt me, looking around I hope T-mobile can deliver again. Going give them a bell tomorrow see what I can get.

Depending on how badly you want it there is always the early upgrade program... On the good news I can reveal because someone else did that it's all systems go for TM/Ora on Thursday for this handset. Stock levels shouldn't be an issue according to a friend but our forum spy in stock control over here probably knows best ;) We have a good history with HTC thankfully and it's still paying off today.

That is early upgrade, officially not due for 3 months after that. Longest 18months of my life :D

I'm not really interested in this phone but for those who want it sim free, here is one option which I assume is cheaper then buying it on payg:

Go to o2 site through quidco for £50 cashback.
Find HTC One X, 24 months, 100mb data, £13.50 /month and buy for £180.
Cancel data bolt-on brings it down to £10.50 per month.

Total Cost = £180 - £50 + (24 x £10.50) = £382

Obviously throw away the sim and use your own. :)

I like, and I also do little calling or texting.

Any mention of colours?

Just spoke to them, no idea on prices or colours. "should have that on Monday".

I love the look of this phone, but I’m a little concerned about Sense. I love stock ICS on my GNex, so I’m really not sure whether to get this or not. Of course, that decision would be made easier if some kind soul was to port stock ICS to the One X, but whether that will actually happen…

Stock ics will come to it at some point, sooner rather than later as I think it will be a popular phone on xda. Agree on sense it looks so ugly and I hated it with a passion on my old desire HD.

Where are you seeing the option to remove the data bolt on?

No mention of colours, but T-Mobile went through Chitterchatter to get me the phone. Basically I asked for my PAC code (threatened to leave) so they made that offer.

Thanks for that.

I've just seen on Engadget that the One series will be available on Orange and t-mobile from Thursday. Hopefully that means for everyone!

If you've already decided whether you're Team One X or Team One S, and live in the UK, then get ready to flex the plastic on Thursday. Both T-Mobile and Orange have announced that's the day you can pick one up in store and online (and even over the phone if that's how you roll.) Both networks are offering the One X for free if you don't mind paying £41 a month, or you can scoop up the One S for a slightly more reasonable £36 -- if you're okay with the smaller screen estate and number-of-core bragging rights. In the mean time, you'd best start brushing up on that new UI...
