Did you flasgh custom Mike? I thought you were flashing stock Jelly Bean?

Andy will confirm but you should still get the software updates and still be able to update via kies without any issues at all.

I installed the stock unbranded jellybean rom from xda via Odin onto my t-mobile branded S3 and can no longer update via kies, so I'll be updating via Odin again on the next update.

Personally i prefer controlling my own updates using Odin. As others may confirm, done updates aren't improvements!
It's very good. Although I wouldn't call CM stock, it's tweaked quite a lot. I'm using it on my S3 and won't be going back.

I won't be using cm10 until they get a hold of the exynos chipset sources it's all a bit sketchy at the moment..
once they DO get that, do you think they'll incorporate things like smart stay? or do you think that'll stay as Sammy only?

Agreed its a good solid rom
Highly doubt it. That would need much more than the exynos sources, they'd need a lot of the Touchwiz framework.
Even without the exynos sources, CM10 is perfectly stable for a daily rom.
Although it's not even remotely stock android

totally agree with this, tried wanamlite and its fine but its nowhere near stock, it still has loads of samsung stuff on there which is fine if you want that sort of thing.
JB Domination is a great theme too but again,, it stops well short of the sort of clean interface you get with CM10/AOKP.
For me the loss of smartstay and all the other samsung stuff is acceptable to the point of bordering on attractive.
No to recovery and yes to download. However after using Odin to reflash the official JB rom, all seem fine and Odin stats successful, when the phone tries to restart it just gets stuck in the reboot loop.
