Perhaps not quite as bad, but Google Services started using a large chunk of my battery this weekend too. I've no idea what's causing it though.
So something about my uni's network and/or the reception there really seems to kill my battery life.
Today I'm at 50% battery with around 50 minutes screen on time. Pretty much a constant drain level with drops each time I've had the screen on for any amount of time.
It's odd as I get such great battery life at home!

hello, i have bought some head phones for my nexus, not sure if i am doing something wrong, i take the nexus uses a normal jack connection? i plug it in but the sound still come out the phone?
Unless you've done something weird with the software then either the headphones, or the phone is faulty.
Have you tried a different pair of headphones in the phone, or those headphones in different phone?

Really am loving this phone, the design/feel (on that note, the buttons are rock solid, feel perfect to press), performance, software, screen is epic imo, so good outside in sunshine too.
Camera is good overall imo, I think my one S produces sharper more detailed photos where as the N5 is softer with less noise (a bit too aggressive imo) and better colours. Again remove the h before .jpg for bigger versions:

nexus5 is a great camera, it's just not as forgiving as some of the others, a steady hand takes a great shot

I love my Nexus 5 camera, at first it was frustratingly slow but with the first update it really got bearable. Now with the new camera app it is very fast, and the macros on it are just amazing.

Just got my Nexus 5 yesterday and loving it. My old phone was doing my head in, so got one with my bonus.

Standby is so good at home with Wi-Fi on. Between 1 to 1.5 % per hour. At work on mobile data it's quite bad still getting an average for that.

I'm getting better than that. More like 0.3 or 0.4% per hour (I normally lose 2-3% per night).

Yes at night I get 2 to 3 as I turn everything off. While I'm awake though I need My email accounts syncing.
odd how the new camera app crashes when I try to select HDR.. - on 3 different ROM's too

I don't. I just put the phone on silent and turn it upside down so the notification light isn't distracting me.
I leave Wifi and data, etc on as I always do. The only time I turn wifi off is at work, where I use my data connection due to various websites being blocked on the wifi.
