NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

Well guys it looks like I am one of the unlucky ones.

I can't get mine stable on +130 core + 400 mem with voltage cranked right the way up.

Titanfall driver crashes to desktop & Tomb Raider will show artifacts at about +140 core.

So for now I've dialled back to +100 core with max voltage for max boost & see how it goes. Is there anything I'm missing or have I just lost out on the old silicone lottery

What's you're max oc with stock voltage? Extra voltage often causes instability on these cards.

No that's fine, what I would do is set the power limit to max, see how far you can get at stock volts concentrating on the core 1st, then rinse and repeat on the memory, once you've reached your stable max on both then start adding a touch of voltage & try push a little further.

So just had an email from OCUK customer services saying that coil whine is not covered for returns as the card 'still works'

********....

How noticeable is it with your case cover on etc....?

Thankfully I have never expeienced that and the MSI 970GTX I have is whine free. Someone posted a YouTube vid which had recorded the coil whine from their Asus card and for me that would definitely not be a keeper.

What are you going to do now..?
