The Role of Honour

Looking at that list it's predominantly EVGA and Gigabyte with a late surge in Zotac. As it ascends in date order essentially, you can pretty much see the trend of what was in stock at the time

Zotac was the OCUK "branded" cards (80% of the time)
Gigabyte (in stock most of the time, largest supply)
EVGA - (best support/guarantee)

It doesn't really matter, get the cheapest. No binning and 99.9% of them clock over ~1350mhz with ease. (Same cooler etc)

Any of you guys running a ROG Swift 1440p? If yes what sort of framerates are you getting?

Would i be better off getting a Titan X or going 980ti with sli in a few months.

Having gamed at 3440x1440 with a single Titan X, the vast majority of the games I've played utilised only around 4 GB of VRAM with settings as high as possible while maintaining 60 FPS. In other words at this resolution I'm running out of GPU grunt way before any VRAM limit.

With two 980 Tis the opposite should be the case, and I'll find my self having to tone down settings to stay under 6 GB VRAM, but based on what I've seen, those cases will be few and far between for at least a year I'd guess.

All that said, I'm convinced that at 4K especially, Titan X SLI is a much better buy and worth the extra cost.

interested to know what fps you were getting at those resolutions in what games??
