Have to disagree with you there bud, I find Churches stunning. Some great pieces of architecture.

Not very warm or friendly mind you, would fit in well in horror/thriller type films, but as man-made buildings they have a certain...character.

Yea i like the gothic look. TBH i see all religous buildings as waste of money and space and just a reminder of how some people still rely on fairy stories to govern thier lives.

Don't know what you're bothered about - this will eventually be a Muslim state whether you like it or not.

Over my dead body I would give my last breath to stop that and so would millions of other ENGLISH.

What about the Welsh and Scottish?

If I'm honest I'd stop it from happening too.

Well, as a Muslim I disagree with the second part, but yeah, the Gothic style really does bring a certain beauty with it.

I work near the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Cathedral - amazing looking buildings.

Ah yes, things have been too peaceful for Muslims I was waiting in anticipation for something to come up.

[Place predictions here]

I don't think anything will come of it or is this a joke? o.0

I too heard that it wasn't from TAX payers money but from a rich guy putting up the cash so that makes the issue less of a sticking point. But still, to allow planning permission for something like that is crazy, it'll totally dominate the landscape and I doubt it'll be in keeping with the surrounding area. But then there are many large buildings in London which are very ugly and aren't used by the majority of people in the area so that would hardly be a reason to stop construction of this mosque.

I'd say the reason I'm against it, and probably many others do to is because of what I think its meant to signify, and thats dominance over the rest of England.

How does protesting a potential build = 'no peace for Muslims'?

Why should a the issue even be about Muslims given that we are focussing on a building for which there are many reasons to object to?

Hope i'm not being an uber n00b here, but i just looked at the source code and there are these two sections are contained within:

Code:
<div class="pollResult">
	<div class="result" style="width: 56%;">&nbsp;</div>
</div>

Code:
<div class="pollResult">
	<div class="result" style="width: 44%;">&nbsp;</div>
</div>

Surely that has to be fixed, as the numbers are static!
