I recently got this cooler for my birthday and just wanted to share with you people some of my findings, also a little help with my overclocking.

I am in love with the D14; i upgraded from an old H50 (push/pull SP120's) .

After:

The temps are so much better, had it running at 4.4 on the H50 though the temps were a bit high.

The D14 has no problems with it.

Nearly 15C less.. Crazy.

And i went higher

4.5Ghz

4.6Ghz

Just playing around with my OC settings at the moment.

Apart from 4.6Ghz, All the rest were tested for around 4 hours each, the 15 minutes bursts you see ae just to show you the top temps, as i found the top temp was normally reached in the first 15 minutes of testing.

What do you all think? On your way out to buy a D14 yet? :)

already have one,its a great cooler,i swapped my fans for two akasa apache's though,i found the non pwm fans too loud for me

Damn decent temps for air. My water loop gets to 63c at 4.7ghz on the hottest core. How fast have you got the fans?

NF P12 - 1300
NF P14 - 1200
NF S12 - 1200

That's full for all of them. :)

Amazingly quiet too considering.

Though my front intake fan (only other fan) is at Half speed as it's damn load on high.

Nice one.
Fwiw, a single TY-140 or 147 at 1000rpm in the centre of a K2 keeps my 2500k @4.5ghz/1.368-1.376v* at 62c max in prime.
Since the K2 and D14 are virtually the same performance wise, it might be worth a £5.99 punt :)

*Auto voltage coz I'm lazy...

Have had a D14 for a couple of years now, will never replace it if i can help it.
Also Noctua has brilliant customer support.
OP has just found out what us D14 owners already know, its just a brilliant piece of kit.

Agreed! had mine for a similar length of time. Wont be changing mine anytime soon unless I decided to go for a full water cooling setup.

There you go. Just one of these fans works a treat :)
Hopefully be getting a pair of TY-147's next week to try out on the k2. Should be interesting to see how they compare to the piranhas.

@Sycho, the k2 is a cracker of a cooler. Max temp of 69c on my old i7 920 @4.2ghz, using the stock supplied fans. I got the k2 as a replacement for the super megahelims, also had vipers on it. 77c max at 100% load.
