Not on a D14, but used liquid ultra with an alpenfohn k2. Temps below comparing the liquid ultra and the stock alpenfohn paste.

I5 3570k @4.5ghz, 1.3100 vcore in bios, k2 is fitted with dual akasa vipers. Not a massive drop like some have got. Probably not helped by my case front air intake being pretty poor.

Setter: 2C-3C is still a pretty good drop.. Though i have heard of people getting 8-10C

MOOGLEYS: Your getting rid of the prodigy? What case are you going back to?

True, seen a few on here get 10c + just by using it on the ihs. A lot more if the cpu is delidded and the stock intel "putty" is replaced. Pretty strange stuff to work with too, like a gloopier form of mercury.:D

Ive heard that too, and it can stain the base of the cpu cooler. Ive been reccomended on here to use a metal polish to clean the heatsink up. Though tbf, ive used other pastes in the past that have stained a little, or removed the data printed on the ihs. Main thing with it is to avoid any contact with aluminium, and remove the cpu from the socket when applying it.
