Your graphics card history tree?

Only got into computing 3+ years ago. Scary to think how much i've spent on this kit! :(

9250se 64mb (poor)
9600se 128mb (poor)
9600le 128mb (poor)
9600xt 256mb (budget rocket - ran HL2 suprisingly well)
9800pro 128mb (fast but ran hot)
x850xt 256mb (nice card - clocked very well)
6800ultra 256mb (used heaps of power - my generic 450watt psu struggled to keep up)
7800gt 256mb (ace budget card - £50... no complaints!)
7950GX2 (probably the most fun i've had with a card - aircooling modded quite heavily)
7800GT (returned to it while i save for the 8800)
8800GTX (very fast card - took everything in it's stride... awesome)
2900XT 512mb (very fast but hate CCC and uses heaps of power.
2900XT 512mb x2 :cool: (as you could have guessed big performance but equally big leccy bills! :eek:)
2900pro flashed to XT (just used while i waited to sell and downgrade to the 3850)
HD3850pro 256mb (featherweight in cost, appearance and power usage - a true GPU gem! :))
8800GTS *G92* (Nearly as fast as the GTX - nice card)
3870X2 (great card spoiled by duff drivers and ATi's terrible CCC)
HD3850 (holding card while i waited for the GX2)
9800GX2 (By far the fastest card i've ever used - eclipses all of the above by a very good margin!) :)
6600GT (interim card to tide me over)
HD4850 x2 in crossfire. Incredible performance that just tipped the GX2.
7800GT (same one as above - only using it while i wait to get either a GTX 260 or 280)

Can't remember them all, nor the some of the orders of them but here goes;

  • Rage Fury MAXX (died shortly after due to buying what must have been a faulty card from a computer fair, was fun in Q3 while it lasted)

  • Radeon X800 - bought from here with the pre-done pencil mod
  • Geforce 7600GS
  • Radeon 3870

Buying another passive 3870 and that'll probably be it for a long while again.

Highlight for me has to be my two Voodoo 2's, I loved them and the FPS was sky high in all the games I loved + I could play at 1024x768, unlike 800x600 which only one voodoo 2 could play at :)

Well we had this thread before and I think lets get it going again from scratch as I myself am struggling to resist the 4850/70 series just out of pure curiosities sake! So lets resurrect it and live out the memories of your graphics card history one more time Including what happened to your cards and your High and Low points!

As you can see from my post I went a bit more indepth and would like others to do so! I also clearly refrenced we have had the thread before......stop jumping on everyones back just now!

A lot of you guys have really progressive charts in terms of performance where mines is totally scattered haha! Guess I just cant resit trying out a lot of different tech out there!

You've had horrific luck with Inno3D :/ Not suprised you'd never use their cards again.
