The beer I had was cracking. Though I had a couple of bottles when I got home, and started to wonder why I was feeling pretty tipsy. After looking at the label a few hours later I understood why - it's bloody 10%.

Deustchland? ( :p If not, Denmark)

England

France

I'm also voting that Hank Marvin gets an honourary +1 bonus point.

LOL yeah it's very easy to forget the strength. Yesterday I sat outside enjoying the sun and drank my 4 Leffe Blonde (once again Ahleckz another great tip of yours), 6.6% they are but such a rich flavour! Simply delicious beer and Asda stock them in a nice 4 pack :)

Best day! :D

That's the 5 I chose for this week! Duval was very nice but heavy (8%), Vedett was alright, bit odd. Stella's regular cider was just too sweet and the pear tasted like arse :( (according to the gf).

The raspberry beer was loads of fun, recommend that for something different.

Back for the rest of my Stella though :D

Oh and Denmark, England and Finland (changed Estonia to England to make sure we have the basically mandatory country)

On the wagon, sorta
been on cal so couldnt get to a pc, cracking lot of 3 points there.

well done all who took part.

England

Denmark

France

already have my french and english beers ready.

my Belgium was very nice indeed, strong 9% imperial ipa with a big punchy hop profile and lingering bitterness that isnt to overpowering. recommended.

maccapacca that delerium looks interesting, noticed it on the shelf when i purchased mine, what was it like?

Another good round here, a few of the suspected guys showed up (Duvel & Leffe). I thought we'd see some Delerium, and Tinnemans. Anyone with anything to say about their beer?

Mine was awesome, but minimal head retention. It's quite old fashioned, but good. I'd buy it again (that's if I ever actually see it again!). My second choice was Orval, but rejected it because it can be had in Tesco.

As for vote:

England
Denmark
France

Denmark should be interesting, think about gypsy brewers and go to your local Brewdog bar. ;)

Voting Denmark, England, France. :)

No-one had my second choice either - Zinnebir. Actually preferred it to the Ramée Ambree. The Ramée was a bit sweet for my liking but tasty enough. Stronger beers tend to have that slightly syrupy taste to them. I had the GBBF Champion Beer of Britain yesterday and felt the same (8.5%). The Zinnebir was much lighter and more drinkable.

Just as well you didn't enter the Cidré :D

Deffo fancy the look of the Raspberry stuff :) oh and lucky you didn't go with Duvel :D

I had a feeling the Cidré was cheating a bit :p

The raspberry one was very very different, didn't taste of beer at all (though the gf did a blurgh too beer fizzy), very interesting drink.

Guessed Duval would be popular too... Disappointed no one did a cheaky stella or stella 4 too!

Stella isn't brewed in Belgium, I'd be advocating to award nuls points if anyone had entered it.

Actually, MGD & Budweiser were entered in the American round. Mmm....

Great beers chosen everyone, quite a few I've not had before.

The Daas witte I had was strange. A pale wheat beer first impression was how fizzy it was, but it has a really nice round flavour unlike hoegaarden. By the end I was really enjoying it.

Denmark, Engerland, France
