BMW and M Power Owners

Picked this up about a month ago, but only just got round to posting it.

July 1995 E34 525i automatic in Oxford Green. Only 60k on the clock. Has a full BMW service history and every single bit of history and work carried out in a massive folder, even down to every tax disc it's had. Has had hunderds and hundreds spent on it over the years. It had been kept by an old man since new, who then decided he was too old to drive it any more and decided to gift it to one of the service advisers at the BMW garage where my brother works. One of the mechanics then bought it off him for £500 as he loved it so much and wanted to "save it", as it were as it's a very good example. He owned it for a couple of months but needed money for a house deposit so I took it off him for £1200.
It's quite an upgrade from a 2003 Ford Fiesta but I've wanted a big comfortable saloon for quite a while now and despite the fact I was really looking at E39s this was just too good an example to turn down, considering how many old 5 Series out there are sheds.
It really is a lovely car to drive. The ride is very smooth, build quality is second to none and the spec is pretty good. Even has reverse parking sensors, which I didn't even think existed in 1995. Engine is great, very smooth and pulls nicely. Don't know how I could go back to 4 cylinders now. It's not going to set the world on fire with speed but I'm not exactly wanting for any more power.
The previous mechanic owner had the whole underside Waxowyl coated and fixed some surface rust on one of the doors and had a wing replaced.

There's a couple of things I need to get done, some of which I have already. My brother has replaced the coolant level sensor as it kept bonging up on the dashboard despite the level being absolutely fine. He's just done the rocker cover gasket just this afternoon as there was a small oil leak from the old one.
On the to do list is a passenger door central locking actuator as it's a bit temperamental and the air con condenser needs replacing. There a couple of tiny bits of surface rust that needs sorting and a few minor scratches on the paintwork need tidying up.

Some pics here. Excuse the mess inside, still need to give that a good clean.

2007 330i coupe.

Plan was to get a 335i but I've been looking for 2 months and I don't think I can get as good a car as I want for my budget.

mileage is a higher than i wanted, 83K, but it has had 1 owner from new and is serviced by bmw huddersfield every 12k ish miles. the book has so many stamps it is nearly full! 2 full services at 25k and 60k iirc.

Car drove great and has the interior color i wanted(red leather black trim) and is in my second color choice, silver.

Price is not settled yet, ive put a holding deposit, im going back with my car to get it valued and work out a deal. deposit is refundable if i cant get it at what i would like. it was up at £10000.

Sounds like mine has sold...for the second time in about as many weeks. However I received the ever dodgy " would you take £x if I come and get it over the next couple of days" phone call from someone who has never even seen the car, we will soon see I guess!

Good timing if he actually turns up as I pick up the civic tomorrow

Just picked up a 2005 525i M Sport with only 42k on the clock :). Very pleased with it, only small issue is the damn parking sensors getting the intermittent PDC failure.....

Typical.

Now to figure out how to retrofit a USB port it this thing..... Hoping to dump the CD auto changer for it.

Here's some pics of my Plastidipped steering wheel cover. I'm pretty happy with the outcome although it does have some texture to it which apparently is from holding the rattle can too far away. I was sticking to the 12"-16" advised on the back of the can, but guides I've read since suggest 6".

Here's how it was before..rather tatty in several places:

Looks excellent, be interested to see how it lasts on the wheel.

I was pretty happy with how my interior trim turned out with it but had difficulties removing masking without peeling half the plastidip away/ trying to let it dry just a bit then remove etc.

My car has now gone, odd purchase(r) but money in the bank!

Real answer? Wee bit bored and fancied a change.

"Make this seem borderline acceptable/justifiable" answer - fancied a hatch again so I could protect it and chuck a mucky dog in without hassle.

I'm not sure if I like it or not. I imagine it would last longer and shouldn't peel though.
