BMW and M Power Owners

Cheaper too! Cost the grand total of £1. I've used Gliptone cleaner on it before and it removed the shine a bit, but it was back in a week.

Please do post results of the Plastidipping, am interested to see how it all looks when done.

I guess results can vary depending on how much of the shine is caused by oils/grease and how much is down to actual wear.

I had poor results from the Gliptone on the front seats of my 330..they stayed just as shiney as before. The results on the 335 on the other hand are outstanding; they look brand new and there isn't a trace of shine.

Will get some pics up of the plastidipping once it's done. OcUK had it on special this week at £13. A brand new cover is £80 from BMW so it's got to be worth a go :)

My thoughts are....it's 13 thousand pounds, 7 years old and isn't even an M sport for the funny money.

It's wheels are kerbed and it looks like it might have a little ding on the osf arch. I'm also guessing his mot/tax expiry dates are a year too early but that would be worth double checking.

Probably find trade on that car is somewhere between £8 and £8.5k due to the mileage....do you want to be buying a car @ several thousand pounts and 50% more than you'll likely get back for it should you ever need to sell in a hurry?

I'm in agreement here. It's an early SE in the £470 tax bracket, which according to the listing expires in a week, along with the MOT.

Ok so it's quite well-specced and has the Logic7 stereo upgrade which was something like a £1500 option, but I'd say in its current condition it's an £11k-£12k car.

Oh and I'd be double-checking why the listing states power is 370, because that's the kind of BHP they achieve from a stage 1 remap so it's possible the car isn't standard.

Crazy to spend even £11.5k on that imo, mileage is pushing it up but it's still an SE which will command less money.

I'd bet you could find an SE on an 07 plate with just under 60k for more like £10k which makes much more sense to me.

If I'm honest though, the price of any earlyish E9x with a decent engine frightens me - I just feel like they're set for a big fall.

I'd also be happier with a car with a few more miles on it; paying the premium for low mileage is hardly ever worth it. All it usually means is that the car is more likely to have been used for lots of short journeys where the car never really gets up to temp. These have oil temp garages on the dash and it really is surprising just how long it actually takes the oil to get up to proper operating temp.

Any BMW experts around?

This F10 looks reasonable value for money I think, spotted it during my hunt for an XF, still open minded as to the F10. A decent buy?

I guess as it's not use approved the warranty won't be upto much but can I still get the BMW warranty even if it's not used approved can't I?

Oh and does professional nav mean it's got a better speaker setup than business spec?

Do these come with xenons as standard?

That car has no Xenons and the nav has no impact on the speaker setup.

Warranty is worthless so I would budget for the BMW one, it's about 75 quid a month for sub 60k comprehensive.

Cheers Fox, I knew you'd be along to help :)

Seems strange that people spec decent engines but neglect decent headlights. Thought it was too cheap to be any good.

I've heard the standard stereo is pretty average. I think I'll just accept an XF is the better 20k buy, seems you get a lot more spec for the same cash.

Looks a decent buy to me anyway.

The Pro nav doesn't really upgrade the speakers, just the screen and HDD I believe. Still very much worth it. http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/d...-hub-model-options.html?model=5-series-saloon

Warranty, yes, you can just call up BMW warranty and get it. Because it's under 60k, it'll be cheaper too.

Not sure if Xenons are standard on these ones. They were standard on the LCI though. But this one has the xenons anyway.

It's also got the £500 piano black inlays. Looks great in contrast with the light coloured leather.

Sorry but this is just wrong, it has no xenons and the black is the standard trim on the SE, it's not 500 quid.
