It works fine can see already hitting points on it, only 1 game ,sponsored by amd , nobody plays that game ,it's crap

Just lower your texture quality settings and move on.
But as mentioned, the AMD boys do the same with RT titles as mentioned.

- game is old, who still plays that
- game is ****, who on earth plays that
- game is sponsored by nvidia, not fair
- hardly any games have RT so who cares
- who on earth enables RT

To add to the list:

Can‘t see the difference between the two.
I like the non RT one, looks more realistic.

:p

The correct question should have been 12GB for £1000. Enough? And the answer is "no way".
Literally been my point in all these Vram threads. When spending this kind of money should there even be a small doubt you have enough Vram. I don't get those that defend it as its not in there interests either.

Nvidia want people to upgrade so will give most of there cards just about enough to get them through to the next gen.

I think people get confused thinking we are defending it. That is not the case at all.

It all started with the 3080 and it having 10GB. My thought was had it had more I would not have been able to buy it for under £600 near it's release. I felt at that price for the grunt you got which was not far off 3090 it was something you could not complain much about.

But now? Now is different story. Nvidia and AMD have been super greedy this gen. No one here is defending that. But thing is some just want to look at it as black or white and see what they want to see.

Problem is whilst that bit in bold and underlined is true, why don't the same people who have such an issue with this (again..... which is perfectly valid) not also give of to amd for charging 1+k for 2 year old RT performance? Essentially:

AMD want people to upgrade so will give most of their cards just about enough RT grunt to get them through to the next gen.

But as we have seen time and time again now, when it comes to nvidia, intel issues, threads explode to be 50+ pages because "nvidia and intel bad" where as when it comes to amd issues, threads aren't active or/and the issue is dismissed because "amd good"

I guess this is what happens when it comes to giants vs the underdog

Couldn’t that just be because fewer people own an AMD card so there’s fewer people that care.

Yeah, but AMD good, so don't worry about RT performance.

I used to like AMD a lot and cheered them on as underdog, but each time the ******* see a bit of success they hike their prices to high heavens. They have no loyalty to us, so why should we have any for them?

Way I see it is, make a product I want to buy at a competitive price and I will buy it. Been happy with my last two AMD CPU's and in the past I had loads of Radeon's and was happy with them. No issues buying AMD.

It is incredible how fast PC parts become outdated, people were asking this exact question 2 years ago about 10GB. Now they are asking about 12GB and in a couple of years people will be asking if 16GB is enough.

If you want to play at 4K then get the best you can afford.

I think the card is more meant for 1440p or 1440p uw with lots of eye candy, and for that 12gb is more than plenty. For 4k rt you need dlss anyways, in which case 12gb is also enough.

Also, people seem to forget that its the cheapest card out of all the new ones. If it had more ram, it would also be more expensive.

Ray Tracing is something only a select amount of people care about where as most who buy will care about Vram amounts as its needed in every game so its not that similar.

The Vram threads will explode as the competition give overkill amounts in comparison to NV. I mean i feel the 80 has more than enough this time round. I think for the price of the 70ti 12gb is not enough. Will it impact games i don't know but more than likely something will come out where it does.

Maybe that's Nvidia's goal.
"Not enough vram? Well friends turn on that beautiful DLSS and it will play just perfectly"

Now you have an entire group of people thinking DLSS is the be all be and end all and a must have to justify the bad hardware decisions
