It's quite reassuring, not just for the reasons on the surface. If you buy elsewhere and want to use the DSR it's not uncommon for them to completely ignore the rules and try and screw you. So it's reassuring that OcUK are acknowledging the DSR openly.
 
Dosent the law say you have to refund postage costs under DSR ?

Not the return postage. Under the DSR's you get refunded the original postage plus the item cost unless you order multiple items and only return one of them. You only get the cost of the item refunded.

Return postage cost should be refunded if you are carrying out a PMA for a faulty item.


This is a good move by OCUK. All we need now is cheaper shipping options and maybe i would start buying from here again. There is no free shipping up here and the cheapest delivery option for a set of anti vibration fan mounts and a anti vibration psu kit i tried ordering last week was RMSD at £8.95. That was more than the cost of the items i wanted so i went elsewhere and paid less than £2 for delivery. Most other places have variable shippings rates based on the weight of the goods so why not OCUK?
 
That's a nice gesture but can I suggest something if you want to have the best etailer customer service in the UK?

Drop your premium rate phone number, nothing says "we don't want you phoning us" like a premium rate number that calls 10p a minute to call!

At least two of your major competitors use 0871 as well so that would certainly be seen to the world at large as a plus point.

Always used overclockers (being a stokie they are local to me) but never realised the following they had on the web. Good to see a local company do good!

I agree, was on hold for at least 10mins when I phoned the other day, and when you've only got a mobile it really does get pricey.
 
That's exactly my point. It wouldn't be as bad if you got through straight away but if you are on hold you are counting the minutes going by and the cost ticking up, it's not a good situation to be in!

so how do us who live near ocuk and collect goods stand do we get the 14 days ?
ive been stung a few times over the years.

In the past few months I've returned 2 faulty motherboards to OCuk.

Are you saying I'm entitled to get the postage it cost me to send them back to OCUK, refunded?
