16 year old bullying a Syrian refugee with a broken arm, choking and waterboarding him

https://youtu.be/ARsST-ZRxAs

Let's get some balsnce. my nephew moved to Rotherham from east anglia in the 90's he was 13, repeatedly beaten up by gangs of Muslim boys. So much so he ended up with a plate in his head.

Did that make the news?

No

It comes across as if you're assuming people have even considered your nephew, and then decided to donate to this syrian boy, instead.

The fact is people have donated just because this is what they were faced with at that particular moment in time, and they made a choice to donate. They didn't weigh up all cases of bullying and make a rational donation toward some campaign to end all bullying.

Balance isn’t allowed. We’re only allowed to hear one side of the story these days.

One side of the story??? You think that these stories are connected?

It's TWO separate stories, you are under a delusion that there's one story encompassing both of these separate events. You are making a logical fallacy when you try to join two completely separate events with completely separate chains of events and then use it to assume that there's some nationwide conspiracy to not want to help white victims of bullying.

This isn't some that story vs this story. Some kid got bullied, people felt compassionate enough to spare a bit of their own hard earned cash to help toward an event that was in their conscious thought at that moment in time. A bit like a quick random purchase on amazon lol.

The belief that people who have donated must have first considered every other case of bullying ever, and THEN decided to donate to this particular one guy for some underhand reasons, are thinking delusionally, because things like race are what they are always conscious about.

Why are people assuming that people who donated made a conscious decision between helping a syrian kid and a white kid?
I didn’t assume that at all. People haven’t made a choice between a white kid and a Syrian kid, but why does the Syrian kids case get so much attention and outcry compared to the thousands of other kids who are bullied daily around the UK?

There’s just no equality between the two any more. It’s as if these folks are considered more important than others.

The DailyFail has two or three current stories about the incident on its front web page, and none of them are accepting comments on the story like 99% of the others.

I wonder why?

Oh please, come on. It would garner just as much attention if it was a white kid.

If a video of a white kid getting bullied it would be all over the place. I guarantee it.

Again you bring up "thousands of other kids who are bullied daily". This has got nothing to do with them they are separate stories. It's not "them" vs. "the syrian".

No one is considering the syrian's bullying "more important" than other bullying, you're assuming the money is some fund to tackle bullying and its being used to tackle syrian bullying only lol.

If this syrian was born British I bet there would be no donations at all! Heck lets just say he happened to be a white immigrant I'm sure people would donate too!

Why don't you tell us ? You seem to have it figured out.

ps: They had comments enabled when the story first broke, there were over 2 thousand of them and all the top rated comments were in support of the kid.

Why does the Madeline McCann case get more attention still a decade on and vast sums more amount of money then other missing case’s which get a fraction of the closure / funding, should there by an outcry from “these folks” about that. Why did that, homeless guy get so much attention in America and loads of funding (granted it turned out it was concucted) and so on.

Simply put, nothing is ever balanced, people I expect as others mentioned donated, went viral and it blew up, just like the Macann case and homeless guy in America. Once a story snowballs and goes viral, it will get plenty of attention regardless. You can bet there are 1000s of kids getting bullied day in day out of all races who are not getting exposure.

Have you already forgotten about the white american working class kid who was filmed by his mother crying about being bullied ? He got $57,000 in gofundme donations and there wasn't even a video of him getting bullied. It went viral, got worldwide fame.
That’s ridiculous too imo. There’s no case for a kid being bullied to be being given thousands upon thousands of pounds for it. Give the money to an anti bullying charity instead. It will do far more good there.

It sets a bad precedent, and sooner or later, these things are gonna start being staged just to rinse a few quid out of people.

No mention of your opinion being wrong.

Already happened. Shannon Matthews being one such example.

So if that was the case why close the comments off? By doing so they only lose hits and ad-revenue for those who havent blocked all DailyFail ads.

As for the McCanns and their funding, thats a crazy argument, most of the UK were asking why the hell they were getting special treatment and almost unlimited funding.

Most of the media were attacking the investigators saying they were off on their jollies etc when doing detectiving in Portugal.

The McCanns is the poorest argument yet. (ps she blatantly died in the apartment and they covered it up, there is liteally no other reasonable explanation)
