This child is receiving money purely because he's not British. Isn't that racist in itself?

they are treated the same when;
1. it has been reported (most bullying goes unreported)
2. there is witnesses and/or evidence (it has to be provable in court beyond a reasonable doubt)
do you not know how the justice system works?

Yes, you can push me over and pour some water on my face for £500, and video itLess if I'm in a good mood. I think there are far more worthy cases for that level of pecuniary gift! Hopefully he and his family will do the right thing and help out funding of fellow migrants in the UK, it would make a nice statement given the sum involved has now reached heady heights. If they decide to keep it I hope the authorities see them as far more financially independent and reduce the charity given to them.
This could well set a troubling precedent in so far as others may see this as way to a quick and substantial boost to their finances and play the victim card for all it's worth...

It's people trying to show we're not all racist bigots, by supporting victims of racism who are exclusively non white. Though I bet you any money if there are videos of racism against white natives, of which there undoubtedly are, they won't get the same attention. Mostly because they won't be publicised anywhere outside youtube.

Immigrant kid gets beaten up by, 9 pages later we have some people suggesting the real problem is how minorities may exploit this for money in the future and how its unfair that white people don't get as much attention when they are bullied.

There have also been plenty of racist videos against non-whites. There was numerous different ones of non-whites being abused on trains/underground etc over the last few years. Don't remember them gaining any donation traction either. If this was "white guilt", where were the donations for that?
The reality is, people see a kid in a cast getting bullied, understand he's a refugee and thus it's likely he not well off, the combination of child+potential poverty+bullying = heartstrings tugged at, donations made. Trying to make it seem like anything else is literally you having an agenda.

What like immigrants exploiting living at Grenfell, where a new face seems to pop up every few weeks. Just because people are able to see in advance scenarios where others can exploit the gullible doesn't make people racists, or bigots or anything else you might think.
Also no-one mentioned it was unfair on other children to not receive a bullying cash windfall. It was mentioned that it was strange.

Being an immigrant is one variable, but an act of compassion toward an immigrant is not the same as doing it "purely because he's not white", there's a major, major difference.

I disagree and would say it's a large factor in the donation sum received.
Why does an immigrant child have to be abused before the public are happy to give them money?
Why do acts of compassion have to be monetary?
So why isn't every white kid that had the crap beaten out of them and vids shared online receiving £££? There's plenty of those videos out there! What about that recent delivery guy who had his bike nicked by a scooter gang in London receiving £££?

Immigrant delivery guys have their scooters nicked all the time in london, they don't get special immigrant donation pages for them.
Just because one case has gained mass popularity, and people are donating, doesn't mean it's some racist thing JUST because he's white. There's a difference between doing something purely because someone is not white, and doing something because the dude is an immigrant.
I know the dude has to be non-white in order to be an immigrant but that doesn't mean CAUSE is because he's non-white.
So then I ask, why don't we see these funds being set up when a white kid suffers equally horrendous treatment? What is so special about this case?
