16 year old bullying a Syrian refugee with a broken arm, choking and waterboarding him

Yes, that is disgusting. It also doesn't say much for the school as a whole if this sort of thing goes under the radar. It comes across as this sort of thing being common place and not the exception at all there.

There, or anywhere, this is common place is every secondary school since the year dot. It's like some people on this forum never went to school or something.

saw this earlier too, kinda similar but worse

Something that been warned about time and again, when a certain ethnic group become the majorty they become pack animals

You have to feel for parents who find their young daughters in a class of male migrants of unknown age, origin and intent, a big risk, and an unnecessary one that Merkel has engineered and others have to try and endure. I have yet to read of any EU country where people are enraptured by this mass immigration and do not have serious misgivings about the negative changes it has brought to many aspects of their life. It appears those misgivings are now even shared by other minors :(

Yeah that's ****** up. Common theme of being a minority in the situation and thus getting picked on. And to hear the teachers attitude of "That's just kids" or whatever is so messed up. It's why all the extended bullying gets to happen in the first place. Do these teachers not remember what it is like to be a kid? Or are their hands so tied that they can't do anything? In both cases the lack of action at prolonged bullying is ridiculous.

I gave up on all the social media crap years go, it was exciting for a while before it became mainstream now as you say it just lowers people's IQ. IRC was where it was at. FB is like the supermarket that's swallowed the corner shop.

It's all ads and garbage. Absolutely no novelty factor left at all.

That's because there is not enough thought into the cultural impact and the mental health of those coming over, some of them will have seen some pretty serious stuff.

These people wont stop as America/EU have ensured the region is unstable for their own gains elsewhere. This is the price for that and people are reluctant to pay it now properly so we get this mish mash approach which leads to this kind of thing.

Incredible... :p

Technically from a legal perspective it is worse.

To the victim it is just as bad during the incident, you then get into the victim impact of being attacked for your race or for no particular reason or some other non legally protected reason. Is that different? Does one have a longer lasting impact?

Either way bullying should not be tolerated, kids need to learn physical respect for others.

Also my wife is a teacher and I do not envy her trying to control a bunch of teenagers when she has no authority to really do anything to the kids.

I don’t get it. This kid is getting charged? Why, because of the ‘race’ difference or public outcry? Yes, he should get punished, but what about all the other bullies who go unpunished. We see these videos all the time.

It was only a little bit of water too, hardly waterboarding! Classic media exaggeration.

All bullying is because of discrimination. Whether it is because of your race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, IQ, it shouldn't matter, its all the same.

Does every "bully" get charged by the Police now? Or just when the race card is involved?

Because between that and mean tweets online, the Police wont have a spare second.

Proving racism seems to me impossible...

Lets say I put a brick through an Asian shop window, and when caught by the Police I said it was because I didn't like the owners hair-cut, how would they be able to prove a racial motivation?

It seems to me that any crime against a "minority" is now almost defacto classed as a "Hate crime".

To me there is no such thing as a "Hate crime", just a crime, and the motivation should have no bearing on the outcome of any justice.

I murder someone because they are XYZ religion, I get a harsher sentence than if I murder someone of my own faith/race.... this is what seems to be happening now, which is discriminatory in itself.

Madness. Crime is crime is crime.

So he committed a crime and he is being charged and you are seriously asking why?

Just because they can't catch everyone doesn't mean the ones they do catch should be let go.

You sound like a racist trying to convince us all there is some sort of conspiracy against you and your white power buddies.

Get on with your life.

If you have a penchant for beating your fellow citizens up, especially ethnics, posting a video, or allowing one to be made, of your assault is not really a sign of being cut out for it and escaping justice these days <LOL> Some folks have a seeming desire to spend their days and my tax payers' money in court. A successful bank heist or unfathomable murder is clearly way beyond their capabilities if this is how they start their criminal careers ;) One can have a certain respect for ingenious and well planned criminality (the safe deposit vault drilling job for example), but these days, most are just sad incompetent losers.

Hardly. I just believe in true equality, not special treatment for anyone.

Last article I read, the police were apparently involved the day after it happened. Which was about a month ago.

The blase attitude towards bullying in this thread is incredibly sad to be honest. And those saying there's no evidence it's racially motivated; the kid's family has a history of racially motivated violence and are members of groups like Britain First. If you really think it's not racially motivated then I don't know what to say.
