Never said it was. But the fact that on top of US Price * 1.2 (VAT) we get charged even more is just sad.

I know we have been over this a million times, but I would rather have my health.

At least we have the NHS *grumble moan*.

You can't just cherry pick certain things about a country and then complain about yours. Honestly man, just be very happy you live here.

Rule Britannia.

I'm planning on selling a kidney when GK110 hits

Quad-SLI... Here I come

just to put this into balance, a lot of US states have "sales tax" which is added on top like VAT :)

I think it might not be clear. I am not bitchin about the VAT. I am whinging about the fact that even after VAT is added the price looks like it will be bloated.

GTX 680 afteR VAT should come to £377. But it looks like it will retail at 7970 launch prices. (Even though it's really $50 cheaper. This $50 instead of funneling down to the consumers seems to end up in the pockets of someone on the supply chain between NVIDIA and us.)

USAiites get it for cheaper than the 7970s. Looks like we may not. Well of course I can't know for sure till they go on sale, but it's starting to look like it.

Ok, £320 for SLI 480s and blocks for them xD

Not if your PSU isn't up to the job. ;)

Besides, I haven't seen any 480s going for £130 yet and new are £185. Not to mention that waterblocks aren't that cheap, even second hand are usually £30-35 ish.
So I'd say £340 for two watercooled 480s is a minimum you'd normally pay. Out of warranty too, of course.

Spent £60 on expanding my loop in the past few days, got a second radiator, new reservoir, tubing, silver coil, fans (Akasa Vipers) and still have old bits for sale.

Not to mention the new GTX 580 that I'm receiving before the weekend.

Good times.

Now back on topic, with the second hand market growing, I can see where reasonable buyers will head with the Kepler card being released now. :D

Fair enough, although personally, I think it's going to be more interesting to see what this does for new 580 prices...

If it's anything like the 480 when the 580 comes out, there will be some absolutely stonking deals about.

It's still the second best card from Nvidia and they don't have another 570 to replace the 580 in this case. :)
