Well the tri slosher is making the game boring really quickly. No point playing in games where anyone has it.

Yeah there's no counter to it. They need to slow down the rate of fire by a lot or make it a 3 hit kill. Narrowing the width of the shot goes against the weapon design but maybe having a shorter range would be a fair change.

S+ Rank tower mode is disgusting with at least 6 tri sloshers on every game.

3 hit kill? id be happy with a 2 hit kill but for me it hits me once and im done for. Had a few more games this morning but turned it off for now gonna sleep soon as works worn me out. Probably have my first good session of it tonight some time.

It's not a one hit kill weapon.

interesting. It certainly seems to be on my screen. Perhaps a network issue? i will have to try it with an Ethernet cable and see if it's any better. But i have had no issues with anything else other than the bucket. Unless it's super fast and im not noticing the speed.

It's incredibly fast, and you don't have a visible health bar so maybe you don't know that you walked through some enemy ink and injured yourself.

I didn't actually realise that injured you thought it was simply mobility impairing. Had a pretty good go on it over tonight playing splatfest. Got myself upto max rank ( king ) simply because the board indicates the higher your rank at the end the better rewards? So thought it may be worth while grinding it out. Had fun and gained a couple of levels too.

If you get to the max level then you get 18 snails if your team loses and 24 if your team wins overall.

FYI You should always pick the less popular option for the splatfests as all the idiots choose the popular option and that team always loses.

Yeah the ink hurts you.

I had some fun in the Splatfest last night too. Win some, lose some and it's definitely more frustrating than ranked where so many don't understand what they're trying to achieve. I'm going to try and max the rank today.

What on earth do snails do? and haha good advice but i think i will always find myself pulled towards the one i genuinely prefer.

EDIT : Found it i think, do do with re rolling gear and such ?

Finally starting to get the hang of it now :) I can also now understand why it's so well regarded. Much fun. Wish I'd figured out the scrubbing of gear before splatnet as would have done the shirt for 2000 a lot of times. (How often is splatfest?)

I have used a few of those snails to make some four slot gear upgrade some that I like the primary's on. Have done it like this for two reasons. Firstly so in the case I do get rolls I like then I have some decent 4 piece gear even if it i doesn't look "fresh" and secondly if I really don't like the subs on it I can scrub the three subs for same cost as one so saves money in the long run.

Is that sensible or is my logic here flawed?

Also when a round is over to the right of your score there are two icons. The one to the right is the special icon and the other I don't know what it is. Guessing that the special one is how many times you used your special? What's the other :S

Sorry for the noob questions :D

You're right, the best use of snails is to open up more ability slots.

Left is kills with any weapon or ability, right is how many times you activated your special.

I used to think it was kills with special but then worked out it was how many times you popped it in the round.

I figured out to unlock slots on gear with good primaries too. Re-rolling on that gear was a mistake as all the re-rolls were special enhancers, which I wasn't looking for. I wasted a lot of snails until I decided to stop. Since the Splatfest started I have been hoarding cash and scrubbing the shirt so I've got a good amount of chunks now and over 300k credits.

Do you look for gear with the abilities you need then scrub them? I imagine it's cheaper to buy one slot gear then scrub rather than 3 slot gear? Unless there are 3 abilities you really covet on that particular item?

Always scrub full three slot clothing, except for the splatfest shirts which should be scrubbed as soon as you have one ability.

If you're aiming for a specific ability scrub a full set of clothing and then use a drink to give you a higher chance of earning that ability. Note that certain brands of clothing have a higher chance to get certain abilities too.

There are faster ways to get more chunks but it costs an insane amount as you keep scrubbing at level one.

Edit: I also don't stack sub abilities on a single piece of clothing as it saves you a lot of chunks.

For example this is the first kit I built:
Head: Ink Saver Main (Ink Saver Main, Ink Recovery, Ink Resistance)
Body: Ink Recovery (Ink Saver Main, Ink Recovery, Ink Resistance)
Legs: Ink Resistance (Ink Saver Main, Ink Recovery, Ink Resistance)

The total cost was 30 chunks, 10 each of Ink Saver Main, Ink Recovery and Ink Resistance. I scrub the gear until I get two of the abilities I want then buy the third.

If you wanted to stack abilities it would cost you up to 60 chunks just for one piece of clothing, and 180 all together!

Ah I screwed up with the splatfest shirt I waited until it was maxed. ofc thinking about it it takes no time to get that one slot opened but a lot of wins to get the whole thing unlocked. I'll think about that the next time we have a fest.

I'll re-read the rest of your post later to take it in properly. At work right now.

It's only takes 12000 experience and 6000 money to get three chunks compared to 24000 experience.

Wow the real game of Splatoon begins at s+ rank!

I'm now in new a ladder chasing my 0-50 ranking within s+.
