i am normally super excited for black friday, before getting a 1080ti last month my previous 2 major pc upgrades had been BF deals.

however i went against my better judgement and took gibbo at his word that 1080ti stock would not last as long as black friday and the £580 was going to be as good as it gets. I must admit i will be dissapointed if there are any fire sale deals on those, however there is always a chance of a good deal on the 2080 or 2080ti i suppose.

I dont think AMD have anything that high end, esp for those of us without a freesync screen tho i must admit i am interested with what gibbo posted.

Yes but something far more tempting and I foresee us selling thousands of cards come 2pm Thursday! ;)

Now time to get in the plane to Asia and sit eating my popcorn. :D

Black Friday is on 23 November 2018 .. he has to buy stock get it back to the uk ..
@Gibbo ..can I get a take away brought back :)
Gaeng Daeng and Khao Pad

I think it goes up a qeek early sif reading Gibbos posts right.

I am still running a HD7990 which I purchased from Gibbo on his last deal for that card.

Maybe this time I will buy a new card, the HD7990 has been a great card but I am longing for a new upgrade

To be honest, I have mix feeling about Black Friday this year.

I mean I REALLY want to update my current system or build a new one, but knowing the fact that the 7nm is arriving soon make it really difficult to decide now would be a good time for the upgrade/update. We are not talking about going from 14/12nm to 10nm, but to 7nm so it's a pretty huge deal!!

Hhhhmmm how does a 980Ti compare to a V56/64? I bought it second hand and it's great but a reasonably priced Vega would be tempting so I can jump on the Freesync bandwagon.

I am having similar thoughts, and also trying to factor that into my choice of new monitor.

It looks from reviews like the Vega 64 at least is a fair whack more powerful than the 980Ti.

I'm also interested in how it compares to a 2070 (as another potential upgrade) and seeing what the price difference between the two will be come Thursday...

Just scanned the Monitors sub forum and it seems there aren't a great deal of options in the 1440p/non-TN realm that isn't too expensive. Will definitely keep an eye on this though.
