From what Gibbo has said it is an AMD deal. I think it is going to be £249 for the new 590 with free games, possibly BFV included.

When I bought my Radeon 290 it came with Battlefield 4, so a 590 or Vega card with Battlefield 5 wouldn't be a bad offer. Might even pull the trigger myself if that was the case

There are a few around the £550 mark for G-Sync and £380-450 for Freesync. Somewhat old tech, though. They do still look decent from reviews, but yeah it's a bit galling to be paying so much for three- or four-year old tech. And the next level up (with features like 4k, HDR, UW, etc.) comes with an eye-watering increase in cost.

I'm personally waiting for:

LG LM270WQA (panel name), 2560x1440, 1ms G2G, 165Hz, ETA mid 2019

Sounds like they're releasing the top end nano-IPS screens first e.g. LM340UW5 (panel name), as LG 34GK950F / LG 34GK950G (monitor names).

Maybe worth waiting a few months / 6 months to see what 2019 brings.
