1st may voting

For the record, I voted for Boris.

I very much doubt whether he will have much say in the policies, as he will be so tightly controlled by the Tories.

looking at my local candidates, they are all pretty poor! and each of the parties have the odd good pledge etc, but mostly outweighed by stupid ones!

The labour guy is a student, younger than me!

I'm not voting for anyone since I don't give a stuff.
 
Boris, the man speaks sense and has some good ideas, hence why that toad Ken has publically admitted to nicking most of them. Ken needs to go, he's the epitome of a slimy, minority-pandering, labour henchman.

What makes you think that people don't want green policies? As long as it doesn't inconvenience them I don't see any particular reason why people wouldn't take the greener of the options.

Additionally if it is only the people who want green policies (even at the expense of other areas) that are motivated enough to vote then why should they not get their wish*? If apathy means that others don't bother (the perennial problem of the more moderate if you care to call it that) then they've got a very limited remit for complaint.



*nb I'm against populist politics in the main and the idea that legislation can/should be created based on public influence rather than actual proven benefit but at the same time it is worth noting that our system encourages populist politics so to take advantage of this is not stupid. I'd also certainly not support populist based legislation where it is to disadvantage minority groups in society - strangely I have less of an issue (although I still don't agree with it) if minorities use their influence to gain an advantage because the majority can't be bothered to do anything about it.
 
Can't even vote here, no one is challenging the current local councilors.

I can't believe how many Lib Dem voters there are here. Are your arses not sore from sitting on the fence?
 
If you want to abstain from voting or a "vote of no confidence" you simply submit a blank ballot paper.

IT fustrates me no end when people dont vote. If you want to vote no confidence then simply do not fill in any of the boxes when entering your ballot paper. It is STILL counted! SO the excuse that people give of " I dont believe in any of the candidates" is absiolute copdswallop and illustrates how lazy many of them have become when it comes to giving a dam about how our countries and cities are run.

If all the people who didnt vote, turned up instead and put through a vote of no confidence it would really make election night something to watch!

TBH I'd quite like to see Borris win, at least he has some charm and charisma - ok he might be **** at the job, but he'll not be worse than Ken!


I had 3 ballot papers to fill in, ooooh the decisions that had to be made!!! Lib dems are about the only people worth going for it seems. The UKIP and the BNP are just too right wing for my liking, and the green party seem to live back in the 60s and are on some hippy drug, and the others are just too small to be significant.
