Boris is a total ****, I hate the clueless eejits that worship him because he's a) a pillock and b) was on Have I Got News For You once so must be "a great bloke".

Better clumsy pillock than impossible to control fascist who failed his 11 plus, used to float black baloons with IRA sympathisers from roof of city hall and invite fundamentalists for courtesy visits. The guy spent last 8 years taxing the heck out of everything that he doesn't fancy, fixing his booze buddies with various contracts and jobs and support various latin american communist states with public money. 8 years is enough. It's not supposed to be position of lifetime dictator.

I knew he was a general idiot, but what is this about the IRA??

Before Livingstone seized power over Greater London Assembly by organizing putsch against his labour buddy Andrew McIntosh in 1981, he was known for the series of oscentacious propaganda moves to advertise his selfrighteous political stances (like anyone cared what glorified councilmen thought about politics, right?). At the time Livingstone was an avid promoter of immediate withdrawal of British soldiers from Northern Ireland and as part of the "promotion" of his ideas he invited IRA supporters to fly black balloons from the roof of the council headquarters. Somewhere between one of his random media rantings against Thatcher and fobbing off invitation to Lady Di's wedding ( to quote "I can't think of a more appalling contrast between this wedding beanfeast and what is happening in Ireland.").

I'm seriously worried for London, there seems to be so many voters that have voted for Boris because he's "Funny".

God help us and this great city.

Its not that Boris is a good choice, more than Ken is a significantly worse choice. His politics of envy appeal only to the gutter-vote.

I wanted to vote lib dem for london mayor, but since theres no chance of that happening I had to vote for Ken over Borris.

I don't like Boris, most of the time he appears to have no clue. When asked about his opinion on reintroducing pigeons into trafalgar square he revealed he didn't know they had been got rid of. He then gave an explanation of how he studied pigeons in detail and came to discover that they belonged to 12 tribes.

Unfortunatly I don't agree with a lot of Kens policies regarding public transport, and he does come accross as quite seedy sometimes, but at least he appears to know what he's doing.

Take his £25 congestion charge. Appeals to the have-nots by taxing the haves.

'Look, lets show those cityboys in their Ferraris you guys will never afford, vote for Ken and we'll stick it to them' and so forth.

It's proven to not have the affect it's billed to - it's about something far deeper.

It has been shown time and again that some of the most vocal protestors to the congestion charge are in fact the 'have-nots' as they are the ones who are penalised most from income independent taxes. Now instead of driving through London to get to work in the morning they either have to spend more time and money on petrol going round the zone or spending even more money on public transport (which isn't worth the money).

Cityboys in their ferraris don't give a damn, most of the ones I know either live in the zone and qualify for discount or just don't care about the £8 they have to pay if they choose to drive in.

The discount is being removed for cars in the £25 bracket. Which still wont bother most of the Cityboys, but Ken doesn't wish to stop them, he simply wishes to generate revenue from them whilst pleasing the have-nots at the same time.

Well, pleasing the havenots who are not bright enough to realise an average family people carrier like a Ford Galaxy will be charged at £25, anyway..
