a nice bit from the bbc's latest article.

Immigration minister James Brokenshire said rules could be changed to remove taxpayer support for more than 10,000 failed asylum-seekers living in the UK with their families.

if they are failed why the hell are we paying anything to them and why are they still here ?!

This situation is a joke.

Why are we even allowing this to happen? And as above why do we have failed asylum seekers still here?

I don't see why we aren't using the foreign aid pot of money for benefits and housing.

Got to be better than the new Somalian spice girls.

Some of the comments ive read so far are literally disgusting. Some people come across so far right on here.

One day something may happen to England, and if it does and your seeking refuge or a better way of life to support your family then i hope they deny you exit and make you all stay on that god damn island. I am English by the way.

My only really question is, why do these immigrants want to go to the UK when there are wonderful surrounding countries that take refuge on people with no risk of death.

Couldn't imagine a worse place in the world to run to.

Mostly because, I believe, the countries in between, make it as uncomfortable as possible for these refugees, and push them on to the next country they can as quick as they can, with the UK being the end of the line.

We could house, dress and feed every single one of the migrants at Calais for less than 50p per tax payer per year.

Won't make the problem go away as undoubtedly a new batch will replace them and that would be another 50p and so on and so forth.

That's right if it was just this present 5000 then that would be do-able.
As it is this tide of migrants is now permanent and no end is in site so it's simply unsustainable for a tiny island to absorb unlimited numbers for ever and ever.

Nige our saviour is the only answer! To hell with international laws, the blokiest of blokes will sort it all right out.

Am I doing this right?

Say what you like about Farage but it's clear that our current treaty obligations to do with asylum/illegal immigration aren't fit for purpose and Nige is the only one who is prepared to say so.

Because Nige needs to do nothing more than play to the crowd with soundbites people want to here. He knows he doesn't need to, and never will need to, put any of what he says into action. It's easy to preach, far harder to actually do.

But if you like what a politician says, shouldn't they be given the opportunity to do?

No, I think enough other people need to like what they say as well in order to elect them as an MP. Sadly for Farage that wasn't the case at this years General Election.

Be realistic - Farage will never be Prime Minister so knows he will never need to stand behind any of his claims or suggestions. This makes them far easier to spew out to the media whenever needed.
