MSI should keep this offer running, I'm sure they are still making a profit out of this and they will sell more boards in the long run.
After today I bet people upgrading in a week or months time will just go with Asus or Gigabyte, especially when they offer a years extra warranty on the motherboards / graphics cards.

I think you seriously overestimate the profit margins involved in selling hardware.
Anyone choosing Gigabyte over MSI could only do so based on reputation because comparing components, pricing, features and specifications MSI have Gigabyte beaten on all fronts. It's a closer battle between MSI and Asus tho. MSI boards are faster and more efficient but Asus win on the features side. The pricing is about equal for comparable boards.

The profit margin thing - motherboard prices seem to be rock solid from exactly a year ago, you would think older motherboards would drop in price, but still hold their own so just goes to show it does make sense really.
If your going to use the other features it's definitly worth a shout.
The Gigabyte UEFI - I reckon it will be implemented in the next few weeks / month. Think I'll wait till Bulldozer to make a choice - before doing my yearly upgrade urge.
1 & 2 - not really convinced with it. The onboard power/reset - I've never even bothered using them on my board - handy if your doing benching outside a case more than anything.
