the item must be shipped today to be covered under the offer as only invoices dated 17th or earlier will be accepted.
Correct
I think you seriously overestimate the profit margins involved in selling hardware.MSI should keep this offer running, I'm sure they are still making a profit out of this and they will sell more boards in the long run.
After today I bet people upgrading in a week or months time will just go with Asus or Gigabyte, especially when they offer a years extra warranty on the motherboards / graphics cards.
Whats so good about the MSI P67A-GD65 compared to the Gigabyte P67A-UD4?ScottiB said:Anyone choosing Gigabyte over MSI could only do so based on reputation because comparing components, pricing, features and specifications MSI have Gigabyte beaten on all fronts.
1 & 2 - not really convinced with it. The onboard power/reset - I've never even bothered using them on my board - handy if your doing benching outside a case more than anything.advantages of GD65 over UD4
1) Icy Choke - 30% more current, 10% more efficient
2) Hi-C Caps - more reliable, more conductive, more efficient, self repairing
3) 2x extra SATA 6Gb/s sockets
4) Firewire
5) THX Audio
6) rear panel clear CMOS button
7) onboard power & reset buttons
8) UEFI Bios
9) £7 cheaper even without the promotion
advantages of UD4 over GD65
1) two more USB 3.0 ports
2) one year extra warranty
pretty sure that's all correct. Sorry, not exactly in any particular order, just the order that i spotted them but as you can see, the MSI has a definite advantage over Gigabyte.
