I think your faith in the FIA stewards is misguided - but I hope you are right

(while at the time it wasnt a Championship changing decision, the 6 point swing they effectively gave Massa at Spa is a fundamental change in said Championship, and not to mention the "extra" win that counts in Massa's favour if countback becomes important)

Indeed, the 4 points Hamilton lost, and the 2 point Massa gained there, in addition to the single point Massa gained over the ridiculous (even more so than the rest) Bourdais penalty would put LH 14 points clear.

So, the stewards have done their best already. Even with Ferrari having free reign to inspect McLaren's car before the start of the year, and ridiculous penalties all year long, LH looks set to stick it to da man!

Wooooo! :p

Did you watch the Italian GP?

I did.

Massa started in 6th and finished in 6th.
Hamilton started in 15th and moved upto 7th. He certainly wasnt on the same pace as the leaders.

Starting 15th and lapping slower than the leaders on a fast track like Monza, shouldnt be difficult (for a top class driver).

Neither Massa or Hamilton can be spoken of in the same category as say MS yet, when it comes to storming through the field. I remember in Monaco 2005 when MS started last and finished 5th. And this was in Monaco.

When Hamilton or Massa start on pole, they have tendency to do very well, providing they come through the first corner without incident.

The last race in China hasnt changed my mind about Hamilton at all. I believe that Hamilton is still capable of going off the track on the first lap and then making a kamikazee attempt to recoup the time he's lost...a move that ends up costing him a lot more than had he remained calm. This is exactly what happened last year in the final GP of the year, where he saw Alonso go past and pannicked, then subsequently went on to hit the reset button, which was ultimately what did the damage.

And to think that some people on this forum still believe that the FIA are not assisting Ferrari whenever possible.

You probably wont admit it, but in the last two or three seasons MS was at Ferrari, most drivers in the mid to back of the grid 9 times out of 10 just got out of his way if they were "racing" or being lapped it didnt really matter

Whether this is right or wrong isnt the arguement, what is the arguement can be pointed out by the fact of Fisi in the last few races blatantly blocking/hindering several leading cars for lap after lap (and give or take he is in the slowest car on the grid)

Personally I saw this in live situations enough times to not bother commenting about , because it was so regular in happening.

Kinda makes your example a little silly imo :)

(Im not however disputing that LH should get better at getting thru traffic, even though I think considerring everything he did as well as could be expected after what happened in the Italian GP, and comparatively slaughtered Massa, even though Massa finished marginally ahead)

then subsequently went on to hit the reset button, which was ultimately what did the damage.

There is video footage on YouTube. Clearly shows him pressing a button however that button is his pit radio button and he presses it literally 1 second after his engine revs drop to idle rpm.

From that, IMO, it wasn't his fault.

Also he said at the Chinese press conference that Alonso "braked early" on that corner which meant he had to take evasive action. Then Kubica and Alonso grinned at each other like little school children and Hamilton shrugged his shoulders.

PS: You'll probably need to watch that video with sound and probably 10-15 times (I did) to be completely certain of the order that things happened.

My moneys on hamilton getting taken out at the first corner or his car exploding at some point during the race, hope not but i can see some bad luck heading his way.

The coverage between 8:00 and 10:00 on sunday is a rerun of Qualifying.

THe one off livery on DC's car looks great. Good to see some positive charity work in F1.

Nail + Head? I wonder how long beofre Mosley claims he is some form of buffoon.

Whether its correct or not - the angry nature of those quotes (that might be added by the journo in question of course) isnt helping the situation

I thought MM should have gone because of the sex scandal - out of respect for the sport if nothing else, but as that didnt get him out nothing will until he decides to step down (which I seem to recall isnt that long away anyway) but whether its one of his henchmen who replaces him is another matter.......

Some of Alonso's fans are certainly making their feelings known

Spanish racists target Hamilton

I imagine Spain has around the same percentage of filthy racist ***** as we see in the UK, maybe less actually.
Big deal? Not really...

Bad things happen, there are plenty of morons floating around the internet.

I doubt it'll phase Hamilton at all, and the silly ***** would be dealt with if they brought their moronic ways to the track.

Edit: lol, I don't remember typing this... Poor quality.

Heads up #2: Practise on live now - http://www.itv-f1.com/VideoLive.aspx

Dry track :(

*edit*
Sweet! DC has a helmet cam!! They just showed it as he left the pits - seems a bit low, on the bottom level of the visor, but it's an awesome view!

*edit #2*
According to race control - 20% chance of rain in P1, but no rain for next 25 mins.
