Massa lost out on 10 points and Hungary and 10 points at Singapore through indecents which weren't his fault. With those he would have been champ even before this race started, so how can you say he's not a good driver?

He's still young and hasn't done anything to deserve the accolation, I am not saying he is a bad driver, he's just not as good as people make him out to be.

We all know what really happened; if this has already been posted idk, didn't read all

haha good one that would be nice to see him do in reality going over 150 mph on last corner

it was not handed the rain was geting worse and at last fast long corner it was going down hill. dry racing tires were just spinning tbh look at times for glock and trulli

and if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle!

All drivers have incidents that cause them to lose points, thats racing.

So did all dry tyred cars put in similar lap times? Honest question as I don't know.

As far as I thought, that part of the track wasn't as wet as the main straight as in the first shower and Glock made no effort to defend his position and near enough pulled over. The back of his car twitched but he's offline on the dirty track so dry or wet his car would twitch.

I'm sure its just one of those things - not like Toyota need a bung from Mclaren is it :)

Glock and Trulli on drys. Both did 1.44's on last lap. Rest of field did 1.30's

By a stroke of fate on the last corner. If he had fought back and taken Vettel, I'd have been more praising...He just seemed to go 'oh well...That's it' as soon as he dropped to sixth.

*n

Not really.

If you'd listened to the interviews after the race you'd have heard that the McLaren team told Hamilton not to worry about Vettel because they could see on the GPS and timing screens that he was going to catch Glock.

Honestly, Lewis cant win - he's criticised for being hot headed, then when he drives an incredibly mature and conservative race he's criticised for that too!

It was a close race and season. Both drivers were superb, as a single point at the end of the season shows. It could have gone either way, so cant we just celebrate that it went to a Brit for a change!

It might not have been quite as wet but it was going up a hill so he couldn't do anything. Glock was behind another car and at the speed he was going it would have been hard to defend his position, he could have taken himself out completely.

My point exactly, just because you don't like lewis doesn't mean you can't be happy that a British driver has won, i'm not asking anyone to brown nose him or anything!

If Glock put the power down to the max, he would be facing the way he just came from becuse of damp track and on slicks. I didn't want Hamilton to win.. but he did so I accept it.

Glock is not the one to blame ;)

To be fair if Hamilton had finished second then i think a lot of the Massa fans would find it easier to accept.

As a LH supporter i clearly love that he won the WDC HOWEVER i don't feel he finished the season in the correct way.

Exactly, it is just the way things planned out, and Im sure a Mclaren tactition looked ahead at the times and did a few cheeky sums to work out that hamilton should catch glock before the end and breeze past him whilst he struggled for grip.

If glock had come in, he would have been way down behind hamilton and vettel anyway.

Boring middle part to the race, great start and fantastic end to a great season. Well played Lewis + mclaren, even with some harsh penalties they came out trumps and lewis got what he deserved !!!!!!

it was not handed the rain ..

yes it was

definition of "it was handed to him" meaning that he only got it from benefitting from somebody else's mistake. Be that wrong tyre choice, crashing or engine failure its all the same.

The fact of the matter is, hamilton did not get 5th purely out of his own merit, 5th was given to him when somebody else dropped behind. Not hamilton pulling an amazing turn of pace and overtaking somebody.

having said that, im still over the moon hamilton won, but others saying its a bit of a hollow victory have a point. Massa couldnt have done much more, but it was only some horrible twists of fate (pit lane disaster in singapoore any1?, glock on dry tyres any1 ?) that handed hamilton the title.

get in there Hamilton !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how funny was it seeing the ferrari losers all celebrating as they lost !!! haha,,, ahwell the best driver and team won

Yeh and Massa didn't deserve the win at Spa, but it happened, Both Hamilton and Massa had things work in there favour, aswell as against them.
