2008 British Grand Prix - Race 9/17

Hmm apparently Massa ignored blue flags repeatedly?

Why no punishment?

Was there actually an infringement or did Massa just use the three blue flag rule to the max? We often see drivers shaking fists etc... at back markers but hardly ever hear of any punishment. I can't remember the last time there was nay for that. Anyone else?

Soz youre right it was Glock - knew it wasnt Vettel but cba to remember who it was :p

ps3ud0

Lol. I don't know why I remember useless facts like that. Imagine how much other stuff you could remember if you could get rid of all the **** out of your brain!

Not a fan of that. But if it makes the car quicker then it doesn't matter how ugly it is.
It does, I'd rather not look at ugly racecars for 90 minutes, those stupid sharkfins make me want to throw up, not to mention the numerous extra idiotic slashes/barge boards/edges etc.....

I saw some old footage from a few years ago before the race and the cars looked soo much cleaner and IMO a lot better.

Silverstone 2008 Incident -- Press Release

Following the incident involving Kimi Raikkonen and Paul-Henri Cahier on the starting grid of the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, that saw the finnish driver assault the photographer, we decided that it was necessary to clarify a few points.
There never was any contact between the two men, nor did Paul-Henri ever touch Kimi's equipment. Furthermore, the distance at which Paul-Henri Cahier was taking a picture, although close, was completely standard. The photographers who take pictures at Grand Prix races are all professionnals who have been accredited by the FIA, and as the dozen other photographers who were standing next to Paul-Henri Cahier prove, there was nothing unusual or unethical about this situation.
Finally, Paul-Henri Cahier has been an F1 photographer for almost fourty years and has been close to the greatest champions, but none of them has ever behaved in such a rude manner. It is understandable that drivers might get irritable because of the pressure they undergo, but Kimi Raikkonen never even attempted to express his discontent in a non violent way. Paul-Henri Cahier luckily did not suffer any injury, and so does not intend to take any action, but he regrets the arrogance with which Kimi Raikkonen treated someone who was merely doing his job.

Theres a video of the incident on youtube here : http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9xJuJFy1OxA

Imagine if that was a McLaren driver who did that. McLaren would have hell to pay.

Its a very strange incident though. After Kimi knocks the photographer to the floor, everybody (including Kimi and the photographer), behave as if nothing has happened.

I would give him a 10 place grid penalty for that :p All he had to do was put his arm out to ward the guy back a bit...

Now now…. We all know you can’t make FIA out of McLaren, but you can out of F E R R A R I

Good race BTW, really enjoyed it. Wet conditions always makes for an interesting race weekend....

Christ, you lot will do anything to complain about ferrari, won't you.

Did any of lot actually SEE Massa ignoring blue flags, or do you believe anything you read?
