2008 Canadian Grand Prix - Race 7/18

what the hell was that all about?! Lewis was just so much faster! he's hopefully very light or else he has one hell of a line through that last corner.
Wonder how much curb he's allowed to take before its considered cutting the corner

One of the better Q3 sessions, serious mix for tomorrows grid:
Hamilton
Kubica
Raikkonen
Alonso
Rosberg
Massa
Kovalainen
Heidfeld
Barrichello
Webber

Stonking end to qualy then, and well done to Kubica for that last lap as well as Lewis.

Anyone got any pics of how bad the track looks?
I expect there will be some around later, but when the marshalls were sweeping the track, it looks like the huge amount of rubber marbles they had once or twice in the past on the track (off racing line).

Either Lewis is light on fuel or he is just impossibly quick around that track. He launched the car through the final chicane. I think all 4 tyres left the track. he has no fear of Champions Wall.

Nice run from Kubica to 2nd. I can't believe the Ferrari's are so far behind when tackling the final chicane.

The race tomorrow is just going to be stupidly hard. The track is already falling apart and the race hasn't started. And the fact that tomorrow there is the support races that take place before the F1 as well which will destroy the track even further. If it rains tomorrow, then the race could be potentially deadly. It'll be a good race to watch.

Lewis is looking really impressive around here, also great to see Kubica doing so well. Remember he's only 6 points of the lead of the championship.

About rain, so long as it stays in Canada its all good ;)

Ideally I'd like to see a half dry half wet race like at Monaco.

btw JRS i wasnt attacking US racing as bad as you make out

Well, if you weren't you seemed to be making a half-decent attempt at it :)

Aaaaaaaaaaanyway....

What have we decided then? Was that a Senna-esque lap, a Schumacher-esque lap or a Hamilton-esque lap? As you can tell, I've gone back on my promise earlier as I made the near-fatal mistake of listening to the post-qually Lewisterical ramblings of Rider and Blundell. I'm now in a slightly bad mood.

I'm going with Hamilton-esque, anyway. Though I do have to wonder just what the respective fuel levels are with the front-runners....
