2011 BBQ THREAD!

Im also in the market for a new bbq as the cheapo one i currently have is in a bit of a sorry state. Is the Weber One Touch Premium worth the extra money over the standard Weber kettle? From what i can work out the only difference is just a self cleaning bit on the premium.

I've got the premium and the cleaning bit at the bottom is a good feature when it comes to putting it away although it's quite expensive for what it is.

Ive just got that BBQ, used for the first time today and I'm impressed. Going to try indirectly cooking/smoking some ribs for 5 hrs next week.

I'm moving into a house this July which has a patio in the garden! So I hope to do many bbqs!
Where do you get the stone/bricks from for a DIY bbq? Cost is priority being a student lol. And at the end of the year when we move out... where do we dispose of them? Lol.
And once it's setup, you don't have to do anything to 'maintain' it do you? Just once the bbq is over, clear the charcoal/ash and it's fine to leave it alone for the next bbq?

Oh god I'm jealous!

How many of those beef ribs do you get for your money? Just had a look on their website and they look pretty awesome, fairly cheap/kg too. Would like to try them:)

Photos please when you're done!

Just buy a charcoal bbq much less hassle and cost than building a brick one and then having to demolish and dispose of it so the landlord doesn't notice :p

Pop down to B&Q and get a patio slab and some bricks:D We just put the oven tray on when having a BBQ, or leave it off as a fire pit. Works really well.

Rubbish pork ribs cme cut up. Despite being whole racks in the picture and not saying individually cut :(.

What I really need to do is find a local butcher who stocks beef, lamb and pork ribs on mass.

morrisons (I know I know) tend to sell pork ribs in a rack and as far as the supermarkets go I think the meat is one of the best. I did the Last Meal Ribs from amazingribs.com on my new BBQ and have to say they were ace. I do need some rib racks though.

Not had a BBQ in years. We did used to have one, but loaned it to someone and never got it back. Now my mums not friends with that person anymore, so will never have a chance to reclaim it.

Shame too cause I really do love BBQ food :(
