---2012 Nexus Phone facts/rumours/info thread---

I don't see what's so wrong about on-screen keys, gives the phone a much more classier look. Some applications also take advantage of that same nav-bar when viewing content, YouTube & TVCatchup come to mind.

It's there when you need it and gone when you don't! Although not all applications work this way I've found.

This really, phones like the Razr still have the same exact form and size but waste screen space with on screen buttons. The way the nexus does it is nice, it roughly the size of a s2 but with a nice big screen. Also app devs really need to get there game in gear, so many apps e.g. games dont hide the on screen the way the video player does.
 
This is a real dilemma for me. Both my sister and my other half got optimus 2x's when they came out . The hardware is beautiful (screen is excellent, general feel in hand etc) but the software is beyond terrible. The software is so bad that I swore I would never touch an lg phone again. These phones are still on gingerbread 2.3.4. Totally terrible. The phones crashed, reception disappeared until the battery was removed, the phones overheated when charging (these symptoms were present across multiple replacement phones).

Now lg look like having the nexus concept. I have my heart set on the next nexus; it looks like the good LG hardware with awesome Google software.

On the other hand this could be like the horrific O2x brother; the GS2. That was an o2x with vanilla android released on t mobile. This could be the quad core version of that concept and the brother to the optimus g. The gs2 was just and shocking as the o2x.

Rest assured LG will be ok software side on this phone...and only this phone :D. Googles in charge on this one. :)

I also had the misfortune of having a viewty for 18m. Nothing was as bad as that phone.

3rd time lucky?

I hope Google have made sure the camera is excellent on this. After promoting photos as being integral to so many of their services, they need a good camera this time.

Please don't let that be then nexus camera. Those samples are shocking.

Can live with 16gb, but most definitely not 8gb, which will actually only be like 5gb. What on earth were Google thinking? the nexus 7 8gb must have sold extremely well compared to the 16gb model.

Maybe they will release a 32gb model later on like they are doing with the nexus 7....

Don't like the look of the back at all either, much worse than the gs 3! :p
